Las Colinas is a wonderful experience from the moment you walk inside to when you wish you didn’t eat so much. The atmosphere is authentic, vibrant, and lovely. The drinks are beautifully crafted. My husband ordered a Michelada that came with a candy straw and I ordered a red sangria and passion fruit margarita. Each cocktail came with a selection of fresh and dried fruit, adorned with a glittery hibiscus. The passion fruit margarita on the rocks, with salt, was my favorite. As soon as you sit at your table, a server arrives with water, and a bowl of chips and salsa. Everything is freshly made and delicious. We started with the Flautas, and each one had a different filling. They were crispy and scrumptious. My husband ordered the steak fajitas with black beans and rice and cleared his plate. I ordered the Entraña a La Colina which is skirt steak over Mexican mashed potatoes with garlic shrimp and avocado. I chose pinto beans and maduros as my sides. It was divine—the best steak I have ever eaten. We were served very large portions and I wasn’t able to finish mine so I took it home with me. In addition to the gorgeous atmosphere and decadent dishes, the service was attentive and kind. There were so many amazing options on the menu, that we already planning our next visit. I wish I took photos to share, but you’ll have to see for yourself. This place is packed every night so we were so happy to finally experience it and cannot wait to...
Read moreWow what a nice surprise! Took a chance based on reviews and now this is going to be my go to place for friends and family! Why? Free Parking garage right next to the place makes it easy for #1. Outdoor and indoor dining that was uniquely decorated along with music to keep you always interested. Quick service from the moment you sit down the taco chips and salsa are given to you and it has a kick! Drinks followed and they where made just right! Two unique dinner orders where placed - Taco De Salmon and Mar Y Tierra Burrito which is their take on a Mexican Sushi as it is presented and they both tasted great! (See the pics on their site for proof) Our Server Carole was so sweet and friendly and the Manager came over to meet us. Told him that we where impressed by it all and honestly will be back with Friends and Family and with that he was kind enough to treat us to another round on the house! Who does that anymore! So why wouldn't I not return when you feel respected, comfortable with the location, decor, food and especially the people who where efficiently managing this restaurant as a whole and making our first visit memorable! We'll be back for sure and you too should give it a...
Read moreI went here for the first time today after my graduation, and it was awesome. The food was so delicious and the drinks were great. Every single thing we ordered from the menu was succulent and delicious! The service and servers, Daniela and Milly (I hope I got their name right), they were wonderful and very professional. Can we talk about the bartender that was cut the limes and making lime juice. He was the boss when it came to the drinks. I am not a big fan of the ambiance. It was a little eerie for me, I guess, because of the skulls everywhere. However, I understand it's part of the Mexican culture. The place is very colorful and bright. I highly recommend the place. We met the owner, and he was pleasant. The restaurant is clean and tidy, and the bathrooms were well maintained. Also, we got nachos and dip on the table to munch on as we ordered our meals. We were able to order a pitcher of lemonade for the table, which was very refreshing and not too sweet. It was just right..
