The Paper Store — Local services in Cranston

Forgetting to buy the Christmas Special Delivery Singing Plush Snowman, I called the store (1-25-19) hoping maybe one would still be available to buy. A very friendly and extremely helpful store associate, named Lisa answered the phone. I told her what I was looking for, and she said she would check the store for me. She returned, apologizing, telling me the bad news. Lisa said that she would check the computer for other stores in the area, hoping to find one for me, & mentioned a couple that still had some in stock. She was going to give me the info., I needed but I had nothing to write with in rental car. She asked me for my phone # . How many people would call back, tell you that she left your name & number with a store, put one on hold for you, and give you the store hours??!! How awesome is that!!!

LISA...It is great to know that someone like you can take the time, and go above and beyond to help someone.

Stopped by The Paper Store after a long workday and commute from Boston to pick up a gift. They had some decent things but I was turned off by my unpleasant experience. Instead of being greeted or offered assistance, I was closely watched the entire time yet never once asked if I needed help. One of workers was literally hiding behind shelving and peering through products and when I turned around unexpectedly she almost knocked everything over and walked quickly in the other direction. It was uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I did end up making a purchase out of necessity, but I certainly won’t be returning. The Paper Store is a very good store to shop in BUT I just received an email survey from them this evening. For completing the survey, I would get $5.00 off my next purchase of $10.00 or more. There was a "strange" sentence in the email: if you're not convinced this email is real, then email our customer service team (that email address was given) to verify. What an odd thing to say! When I attempted to complete the survey, it won't let me get to the end and keeps jumping back to the beginning. When I emailed that customer service email address TWICE to tell them I can't complete the survey, I received an email back twice saying "this email address does not exist." ??????????????
