Warhammer — Local services in Cranston

I don't play the tabletop but love the lore and started reading the Horus Hersey novels a few years back and sometimes when I go to other Warhammer/Game Workshop stores its awkward as hell and I feel unwelcomed bc I don't really know jack about the actual tabletop gameplay. This location stands out and is the best hands down. The dude Jimmy has always been cool everytime I've gone here. He doesn't try to push you to purchase stuff and is polite, helpful, with good sense of humor. And he actually calls you when a book you need comes in. Everyone should be like Jimmy, you can tell he geniunely enjoys his job and helping customers. Even when I've left empty handed he's always been courteous. Its awesome and a breath of fresh air when someone shows interest in what you're into and asking questions and providing recommedations instead of pretentious condescending douches who come off like you're...

I stopped in here with my girlfriend and her sister, as they wanted to check out one of my hobbies and see if there was any cool stuff they would like. Neither of them have ever played Warhammer, so they had no clue what anything was. Even though most of their comments boiled down to "I like wings and vampires, so this guy is cool!", none of the staff made either of them feel silly or unwelcome. Every question was answered with sincerity, and I really appreciate the owner finding the vampire lord my girlfriend had seen on the Internet a while ago and wanted. The cherry on top was when we were getting rang up and the owner suggested a different paint color that would show better on one of the Aeldari my gf's sister had picked out.

I don’t normally write reviews, but the absolutely remarkable service I was provided here warrants it. Jimmy was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure a positive experience for everyone that arrived with me (even those not invested in the hobby). I received excellent advice on how to make my painting projects less daunting and also on how to motivate myself to complete my many projects. He was attentive yet did not make me feel pressured to purchase anything. It is clear that Jimmy is customer focused, that he is passionate about the hobby, and that he welcomes all people, whether they are interested in the hobby as a returning veteran or as a complete newbie.
