DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Crofton

DO NOT BUY A BIKE FROM THIS PLACE On 6/13 purchase a bike from another Dicks Sporting Goods due to this store not having a bike tech ( was told they call in a company) . Fast forward to 6/15 first ride bike not switching gears not even a mile into the ride took the bike back immediately for a store refund. The store Manager Scott tells me he can not refund my money back due to a policy on the website that states all sales are final on the bikes . I gave him a crazy look and told him I did not get it off the website, nor is the policy on my In store receipt or posted in the store , then Scott tells me he’s a Bike tech and can fix it another time. MIND YOU I WAS TOLD THIS STORE DOES NOT HAVE A BIKE TECH . After a little back and forth and his coworkers snickering he acts like he is doing me a favor by refunding me my money. I’m in the retail business and customer service goes a long way, this store needs more training and should be transparent about all policies before a customer makes a purchase.

P.S. Scott the bike shop you said in the same shopping center does not take returns they do within 7 days also let you test ride the bikes before the purchase thank you a lot Bike doctor in Crofton Maryland on my new new bike. Dicks Sporting Good lost...

This store is amazing! They have a ton of equipment and accessories for anything outdoors related. My wife and I went in tonight looking for a sleeping bag. I found one on display that I really liked and for a great price of only $40, but when I went to look for it on the shelf I had found that the sleeping bag was actually $80. I noticed that a couple other sleeping bags were on clearance and I wasn't sure if maybe the $40 was a clearance price so I went and found an employee. I spoke with Nate who works back in the hunting/camping area. He was very nice and friendly and helped us figure out that the sleeping bag on the display had been marked incorrectly and the price was for a completely different sleeping bag. He apologized for the mix up, and to my wife and I's surprised, said that due to their mistake that he would honor the price of $40 for the $80 sleeping bag. I bought over $400 bike just last October and paid for services. The bike is still fairly new, and the shifter or chain not working properly. Someone said the chain need to be replaced, but I have to take the bike to another store miles away from my home (I live 4miles from this store). They can't order the chain but is a special order(ignorant...funny). Someone took the bike to fix it, but is not bike tech...interesting. I made a mistake to purchase the bike there, because I read bad reviews of buying bikes at Dicks, but still trusted the nice store and staff,...wrong. The guy bandaged the bike, and thinks it's ok for me to ride. I will never dream of buying bikes there. The place is nice, but not equipped with bike and simple customer service.
