I have super curly hair, and I have gone to three stylists in the past year who I was less than impressed with. Patrik at Mixed Elements KILLED it.

He was a PERFECT fit for me. I went it without any idea about what I wanted, other than I wanted it shorter. I explained to him what I was having problems with (my longer layers are always straighter and don't blend in with the rest of my hair, I need a low maintenance cut because I will not spend a ton of time on it). He took that and ran with it. He explained to me what he wanted to do with my hair, and explained how it would help (cutting the curls so that they blend into each other, framing, layers). Then he went to work. He didn't try to make small talk, and he was fast and efficient while still being super detail oriented. I have never seen someone cut my hair with such confidence. When he was done, he told me there was a section he wasn't completely happy with, but he wanted to see what it did after it was wet and allowed to dry on its own before he cut it more. When he was done washing and drying, he came back to that section and didn't need to do anything to it, because it had dried the way he wanted it to.

Long story short, I love my hair. It has been a long time since I have been completely happy...

I found this Spa on Groupon and I was not disappointed! Definitely a little hidden gem. I used a Groupon for a seasonal pedicure and it was well worth it for the hour. I had a morning appointment and was pleasantly surprised to be offered the beverage bar for a much needed cup of coffee. I'm browsed the boutique area while I waited for my appointment to start. Carolynn came out and greeted me to take me into the nail room. I appreciate the smaller environment compared to some of the bigger, high turnover locations in the area. Carolynn was great to chat with. She trimmed my nails and cuticles more comfortably than I have experienced at other places. She applied lacquer beautifully and got me in and out in a timely manner. I will definitely return and I look forward to trying some...

I have been to this salon a few time. It was “fine”. The technicians were friendly, but it’s over priced for the quality and experience. You could go somewhere much less expensive and get the same if not slightly better salon services. They also do not offer all services all the time (and I don’t mean because they have limited techs daily and therefore limited appointments) I mean only certain techs are available to provide certain services (wax, nails, etc) on certain days and so if they are not there, you’re out of luck. Not sure how a salon business is able to do business like that, but somehow it works for them. If going, expect decent salon service and better than decent customer service... so long as you are asking for services that are available on the day you...
