NO STARS!!! I was trying not to do this, I typically don't & rarely write reviews but I am VERY irritated...Please do not patronize this restaurant!!! My sister & I were there Monday night, lobster night & the food was excellent (so I thought) I ordered a lobster & a chicken cobb salad. The salad was huge. We ate from the top of the salad, it was enough for us to share & still have some to take home for lunch the next day. So that's, what I did. I asked the waitress for a container. Because I often eat salads for lunch over several days, i know that sometimes they don't last so i tied the bag so that little air would be able to get in. The next day (Tuesday) I took the bag to work and put it in the fridge (still tied). I took it out for lunch to transfer to another bowl. While I was picking through the lettuce (taking out the bad looking ones & avocado because now it is brown) I discovered at the bottom of the salad a roach...antenna still moving!!! I reached out to the restaurant & spoke with Mike who was the manager. He informed me that he would speak to the owners & they would get back to me tomorrow (today). The service in my office is bad, so apparently Pete called me at 2:00 PM and left a VM. I did not receive it until I left work. I called the restaurant to speak with Pete & was told that he would be in the kitchen all night so I can leave a message or call back after 9. I kindly told the hostess that he should be expecting my call & to let him know that I am returning his call from earlier. After being on hold for 5 mins, the hostess came back to the phone to inform me that Pete said he will be in the kitchen all night & to leave a message. I felt like maybe he didn't know who was calling so I again asked her to let him know that this is Ms. Smith whom he left a message for earlier today, the lady who had a roach in her food. After another 5 min hold the hostess came back to the phone to let me know that Pete said he is in the kitchen & he called me back at 2 & he will call me back when he has time. Unacceptable!!! I am livid!!! It's now 9:44 & I still...
Read moreWalking in, felt very dated but not a deal-breaker for us. First and foremost, our server Ramona was great. She was very attentive, friendly and professional. My Husband and I both ordered Long Island Iced Teas and with the exception of them using low grade liquor it was decent (trust me, you can instantly taste when a bartender uses quality/low-quality liquor in a Long Island). But other than that, the experience was lackluster, worst being the food, which IS a huge deal-breaker if you want a return visit to your restaurant …Ok so let’s break it down: portions are huge, you’ll never feel like you didn’t get a good amount of food for the price….BUT, ugh the taste: everything brought out was sooo bland. From the bread to the exceptionally large slab of salmon they set in front of me (smothered with what looked like every ingredient they had in the kitchen but still bland). It’s crazy too because everything comes out piping hot, looking a-maz-ing! …then you put a forkful in your mouth and then it’s like huh, this taste doesn’t match what this food looks like. LOL…The steamed shrimp was next-level awful: mushy texture, with a frowsy taste and about 17 sprinkles of old bay…but again, they came out all big and pretty looking and when we bit into one we were like what in the world?! Lmbo! I just can’t understand what’s going on here, I absolutely love shrimp so why can I only stomach two of these?…our bill came to around $120, ending out the most deadbeat “fine” dining experience I’ve ever had…but hey, the best part I saved for last: my Hubbie was given a $100 gift card to go here so we only really paid $20 and the tip…walked out with almost our whole meals boxed because it was just so sub-par, figure we’ll spruce it up with our own seasonings when we reheat it… honestly, we might just throw it out ultimately because it’s just so suspect. How can food look so delicious and taste so blahhh…like as if it was artificial food…but it has to be real right? No...
Read moreI had planned a Memorial birthday celebration in honor of my Mom with all of my family. We had 38 people scheduled to attend. When we arrived at 11:00 a.m. on July the 5th to get our decoration setup I realized it was a little warm the gentleman at the desk who are laid off came to find out was the filling manager for the day named Brian said the air conditioning in the restaurant was broken but they just had it fixed over the past 2 days so I'm expecting it to start cooling off but instead it kept getting hotter all of my guests were due to arrive at 12:00 noon for lunch. they put some fans in but it just kept getting hotter and hotter. the on duty manager Brian was horrible. he is just a prick. he was not trying to help accommodate us at all and I don't understand why they even left him in charge of this restaurant. he kept trying to tell me that they spent $40,000 installing a new unit Wednesday and Thursday. Well if you had called me to say that the air was out we could have tried to find a new location for this celebration but instead when I get there first you want to tell me oh we've turned the air on it should be cooling off soon and instead of it cooling off it only got hotter and hotter the only place that had some air was in the bathroom so you all need to go and get your $40,000 back from the contractor who installed your new a/c unit. I saw people who had walked in to eat on the other side of the restaurant in the main dining hall leaving because it was hot over there as well. The workers were walking around sweating because they were hot as well. you all should have shut the restaurant down until you knew for sure that the air was working and again Brian was the worst person that you all could have left in charge at the time. I understand he was filling in as manager he is not the regular manager he's not the owner but he has a horrible attitude he was very dismissive and...
