Trade Shop — Local services in Cross Roads

More like scalper shop. When journey together came out they were trying and planning on selling packs for 9.99 pre-release, way above retail. Obviously they lowered prices later on when the market crashed and not enough people would buy them at that price, haven’t been back since that release. Also I tried to trade some cards on multiple occasions (3-4x) and was denied every time. Should probably change the name of the shop if you can’t afford to trade a few cards it’s misleading. I recommend anyone reading this to avoid card shops and buy online for sealed product, at least you’ll save some gas money then. For singles maybe come here. Maybe. Lord rush in Frisco is better for that.

After posting my review, Harvey (the owner) repeatedly contacted me asking me to change it. He pulled my phone number from his database and texted me every few days to "check in," but really just wanted me to remove my 1-star review. This was unprofessional and intrusive, I was only updating spelling errors and adding relevant information, I was never changing my rating.

Harvey claims I returned "purchases" plural but I only returned one item, a Japanese Deoxys graded slab. I had purchased many products from the shop (sleeves, cases, cards) and decided to return this final purchase within their stated return policy. When I mentioned their website said returns were accepted for unopened items in original condition, Harvey reluctantly processed it while mumbling to his employee that they "need to change the return policy on the website. Anyway he clearly failed to look up on his database the other purchases he happily profited from me instead myopically focusing...

Trade Shop is the best place to buy Pokémon cards in the DFW area! The owner Harvey and his staff are so welcoming and anyone can tell they all love anything TCG! I extremely recommend coming here for the best pricing, selection, rarest cards, and a massive selection of slabs! The owner Harvey and his team are very organized and they can even help with grading submissions for PSA in store! I have to shout out the owner Harvey specifically because he is the GOAT! I just had my first visit there last weekend with my family and purchased some awesome Pokémon cards. As I was checking out I asked Harvey to pick one loose pack of Twilight Masquerade for me so my daughter and I could pull the eevee card everyone is searching for. He pulled me a pack and said there’s your eevee, when we got home and opened the pack it wasn’t a eevee card but Carmine the number 2 chase card currently! Just epic! Can’t wait to go back to Trade Shop for all of our Pokémon shopping! It’s our go to shop for Pokémon...

There are a LOT of TCG/Pokemon card shops in DFW and this is by far my favorite and one of the nicer ones (in part because they have real tables instead of cheap fold outs.)

The shop is well stocked, with a wide selection at fair prices with good deals available but what makes Trade Shop stand out is the owner Harvey and his team.

It's very clear that Harvey started this shop because he's actually a fan of the hobby and not just someone looking to make money off the fans (looking at you other card shops!) He takes his time with each customer and takes a real interest in what you're looking for, while also sharing his passion for the hobby.

Parents, I think you can tell a lot about a business on how they interact with kid customers. The team here is respectful, communicative, fair and treats the kids as equal fellow fans.
