When arriving at the menu board to place the order we were told "you are going to have to place your order at the window". There had been a significant delay with the car ahead of us and another vehicle had left the line ahead of us to drive around before we had the opportunity to pull up. When we did get to the window, Vickie the assistant manager according to her badge asked us in an exasperated and incredulous tone "Yes?". I explained that I would like to place an order, she got visibly upset and told us in an annoyed tone that we would have to go around and wait in line to place an order like everyone else. I explained that she had told us that we were told via the speaker at the menu board "you are going to have to place your order at the window" and she looked at us disbelievingly and said "No". I corrected her and explained that this was a direct and word for word quote of what we were told via the speaker what we had acknowledged before pulling forward, that this is not a scenario that we were likely to have hallucinated or made up for entertainment purposes. She went on to explain that a previous vehicle had become frustrated at the wait and had driven around the customer before us and attempted to order at the window and that she had said those specific words to them. Specifically admitting that she had used the sentence I quoted to her previously. Vickie proceeded to tell me that I would have to go back through the line and order properly. I told her "No, I do not have to do that. What I will do is leave and then write a negative review about the poor service". As I was pulling forward I saw her lean slightly out of the window in the rear view mirror and heard her shout "Wait". I had no interest in waiting on someone to adjust their attitude. The problem was easy to see in that while dealing with an impatient customer who had attempted to circumvent the normal order process Vickie had left her microphone open and her clear instructions that "you are going to have to place your order at the window" were received by a different customer than was intended. That really should not have been a difficult issue to comprehend or to set right. A simple 'Opps, that message was not meant for you, I must have left my mic open accidently. What can I get for you?' would have gotten the customer before her taken care of and the issue and the frustration out of her own hair. Clearly she was frustrated by the previous difficult customer but that is not something that should reflect on to any other customers who would simply like to get their order processed and who were in fact following the instructions they received at the drive through. It is not the customers fault or frankly their problem if an employee accidently left a microphone turned on inadvertently and thereby received bad information. A tough day at work is understandable and we absolutely all have them and have all dealt with difficult people while doing our jobs but it should not affect how one deals with other customers.
The situation was totally unnecessary and if we had not been addressed as if we were unforgivably stupid for following the instructions that we were given by her and had not received such a negative attitude we might have simply asked her to process the order there at the window given that it was not an issue that was a result of any mistake that we had made. It did not seem worth it however and so we will just take our business elsewhere in the future. There is after all a direct national competitor about half a...
Read moreOne of the worst taco bueno locations around. Slowest service, worst food, worst service of any of the locations within a 30 min drive of this location. My wife and I will make the drive to Denton and go to that location if we want taco bueno, thatâs how bad this one is. Hire more people of you have to so people donât wait very long times to even get service and just as long or longer to get their food. I go to this location today, as I had business in the area, pull up, 4 cars in drive through, only one person inside waiting to order. Go inside to order, only see 1 person behind counter making food. Stand there for 3 mins without anyone acknowledging me and the other guy. Ask him how long he had been waiting before I got there, he says 5 mins. So he had been standing there 8 mins waiting to even order while everyone in the drive through is getting to order and have their food made. I leave, and upon going outside there is only 1 car left in drive through... Wonât Ever Go Back To this location even if it was free. Food is disgusting and unappealing to even look at compared to other locations farther away that actually seem to want my money.
Honestly hope this closes or gets sold to someone who can actually run it the way it needs to be to provide the service...
Read moreIâve always loved Taco Bueno, but this location has been terrible since the day it opened. I used to work for Taco Bueno when I was younger, so I know what the food should taste like â and this wasnât it. The beef tasted off, and not long after eating, my stomach felt unsettled. Thatâs alarming.
I ordered the enchilada platter and asked for jalapeños and onions on the side. Instead, they piled them directly on top â so many that it was too hot to eat. To make matters worse, the inside of the bag was wet with jalapeño juice, and when I picked it up, my hands smelled like it. Thatâs just careless.
The drive-through was slow, and the staff acted like they didnât want to be there. Honestly, if you donât care about doing the job right, step aside and let someone who does. Donât send food through the window that you wouldnât eat yourself.
There was a time when restaurants cared about quality and took pride in serving good food. Those days feel long gone at this location. Taco Bueno used to stand for something better â I hope they find...
