This place kinda cracks me up. It's the dirtiest grocery store in town and the only one to have a fit about my little service dog ( I have a nice blanket that completely covers the seat, he never comes in contact with the cart) to be fair he just had his favorite shirt on not his vest and rather then go through a big rigamarole I just left the cart w my friend and took him out to the car. When I came back in she was laughing her head off because the employees had moved my items into her cart and we're busy wiping down my cart and since we always tie up the bags of food from there in big trash bags before putting them in our vehicle due to seeing roaches come out of the grocery bags it was pretty darn funny. Anyhow as usual I found a variety of semi bizarre food items to try out they always have crazy stuff - Chocolate butter anyone!? So it's fun to go there occasionally and check it out. P.s. I'm a retired pest control professional and the vast majority of cockroach infestations are directly from a grocery store so...
Read moreI've been shopping at the UGO for years. You never know what you are going to find when you go there, except you know you'll find a good deal! I usually buy canned goods, but I stay away from brands that I don't know. Occasionally I'll try something, but I don't buy a ton until I try it first. You can get really good deals on lunch meats and bacon, but you have to watch the expiration dates. That's the only reason I am giving them a 4-star and not a 5. Yesterday they had some lunch meats that were way out of date. That just isn't okay. People can get sick on that. Other things I have found there are candy items, dog food and treats, cereal, vitamins and occasionally produce. I love going because it's always a surprise! You probably won't find the same thing there twice. But you'll always...
Read moreThe store is located in an open downtown mall, and parking should not be an issue. Being an outlet, it should not be judged by the usual grocery store terms and criteria. Order suffers, since they only carry occasional merchandise. You cannot depend on what and when you shall find something specific. As their ad says, "shop us first", buy at a (heavily sometimes) discounted price what they have and you need, then go to the regular grocery store for the rest. So it may only save you some money at a certain expense of time, meaning if time is money skip the trip. But if you are having the time and are open to possibilities, you will occasionally find treasures for pennies. One additional plus, very friendly and...
