I had my first meal at Family Ties today, it’s a great little spot! I loved the “Southern Egg Benedict” & the girls working their behinds off were very nice! Oh, AND there was only ONE cook in the back! We waited I’d say an average amount of time, which is quite reasonable for only one in the kitchen! I really appreciate the reasonable prices as well, me, my grandparents & parents AND brother all ate brunch for about $60! That’s hard to find. I would much rather support this local spot than some chain, which is just not the same. Support local when you can, it means a lot!

Family Ties Restaurant is veteran owned and all its previous owners were veterans as well. Two walls in the dining area are covered with signatures of veterans who have eaten there over the years as well as other artifacts honoring them and MIAs and POWs. Oh... and the food was delicious. We ate breakfast on a Sunday morning and had to wait for a seat. This place is that popular. I had the breakfast skillet. Everything we ordered was perfect! The waitress was awesome! Family Ties is a MUST stop restaurant!

Best breakfast in town! Jennifer, the owner, makes sure of it. She even waited our table. Breakfast made as in the olden days. Which, I really miss... They really care about the food served and the people who eat there. Why aren't there more places like this? Deliciously satisfying. Small place and always busy.

Went in to get breakfast and started to sit at on of the many empty tables but was told by one of the waitresses that I had to wait for them to sit me. No problem because I could see that some of the tables had signs on them. I waited just a minute or two and a lady took my temperature with her laser then told me to wait outside for 10 to 15 minutes until they could sit me. I could see that some of the tables without signs on them were clean and no one else was waiting to be seated, and the fact that it was starting to rain; I just decided to go somewhere else. This place sounds like it has good food and I wanted to give it a try but they seem to be so afraid of people giving them this so called deadly virus that they want as few of people as possible in their restaurant. If you are that afraid to serve the public then shut your doors. Sad way to...

The sign says “help wanted” specifically went and ate there just to fill out an application. When she brought me the application waitress told me that it wasn’t family ties that was hiring it was “beef and barrels”.. I was highly disappointed why would the family ties sign say help wanted if help there wasn’t wanted or needed. The whole reason I went to eat there was so I could get and fill out an application for family ties. If they didn’t need help shouldn’t have posted that on the sign. On the other hand it was really small in the dining room they had the air conditioner on but it was still humid and sticky feeling. The food was good but still highly upset about the whole application ordeal. If your not hiring for your specific restaraunt then don’t post that you are on the big sign out front. False...

We were really looking forward to our visit, but it turned out to be a major disappointment. Being short-staffed is one thing, and we can overlook water dripping from the ceiling, but the complete lack of organization and time management is inexcusable.

We waited for over an hour, watching as people who arrived 20 minutes after us were served and started eating. This wasn’t an isolated incident; it was happening frequently, which clearly showed a complete lack of direction and management. When our food finally did arrive, it was cold—every single item. And these weren’t complex dishes either: just simple eggs, hashbrowns, and a steak so thin it was practically paper. How they managed to mess up such basic orders and serve them cold is beyond me. This level of service is simply...
