This restaurant has been in Crossville since I was a child and I've come here on and off since then. It's a bit of a staple experience if you are in the area. It's a Greek theme and hasn't changed much in 40yrs.
Cons: The decor is adequate but has barely changed in over 40yrs. While there is plenty of seating, when busy it can be a difficult to navigate through without bumping into people. From a culinary standpoint, the cuts of meat being used for sirloin and ny strip are mediocre at best.
Pros: In regard to steak selection, while the cuts aren't spectacular, they are well priced. The menu has a Greek flair with an abundance of pasta. I've tried several different dishes over the years and they are all good. The family that runs the restaurant has specific recipes they use that are a little different than what you might get elsewhere; which is part of the charm. Their salad bar tends to be pretty well stocked and many people enjoy their soups. One of the most popular dishes is their homemade pizzas. My children love them.
The servers are generally kind and effecient, but anyone can have a bad day. The decor is quite antiquated, however, it does suit a date night. From a price standpoint, I believe most people will be pleased with the serving sizes and the bill at the end of the meal.
If you are passing through, it is well...
Read moreHorrible experience. I went down for a late lunch by myself. The hostess didnt even speak to me she grabbed a menu and sat me at a table that was dirty. She wiped it after I said something abd seemed agitated that I ask her to do something. All of the servers must have been on break, eating at the booth beside me. Saw them get up after eating and serving tables without washing their hands. My server finally came over and took my order. I ordered chicken alfredo and it was delivered in 5 minutes which was my first que it wasnt fresh. It was so nasty I only at 3 bites. The chicken was dry, and hard. The noodles were undercooked. The alfredo sayce had no flavor. Then it was served with the most pathetic piece of "garlic bread" I have ever seen. Basically it was a piece of toast with a little butter on it. My server asked if I needed a box and I told her I didn't like it and before I could explain why she responded with "sorry you sure you don't want a box?" She then disappeared for like 10 minutes and brings me my bill before running away from the table. She still charged me for the food that I didnt eat. So i payed and went about my business. The next day I was so sick from what I was assuming was food poisining. I have considered calling the manager but I am sure that will get me no where. Please dont waste your money. This place...
Read moreFirst time there, thought I would try them.out, ordered the Chicken Parmesan, when it was delivered it looked very tasty, cut off my first bite, as I put it in my mouth I thought that I had sauce dripping on my chin, however it wasn't sauce, it was a very long piece of gray blond hair hanging out of my mouth so as I pulled on it I could feel it on my tongue as it was coming out( I have a very short military hair cut and was wearing my hat) of my mouth, I placed it between my fingers and called the server and showed it to him, he stated"That's not good" I put it on a small saucer plate and he asked me if I wanted to reorder, I said no I am done(I was very grossed out, ruined my appetite) so he took it in the back, as I got up and was waiting to leave, the manager (Very short Hispanic lady) said she was sorry but none of her cooks had long hair, well first of all I kind of felt like she wasn't trying to be very apologetic at all and was very direct and blunt, i don't care where it came from or how it got there, the point is, it was in my food, so they compted the meal and I walked out. My server was great, I feel bad for him having to deal with that, I don't think I will return based on the very blunt and seemingly unapologetic response from the manager, making me feel it was my fault as I walked away and FYI. I was having...
