I haven't been here in years due to the food. Went there to see if things got better, but of course not. Ordered a super margarita that tasted more like fruit juice. Couldn't taste any alcohol whatsoever. Even asked if it was a virgin, and they said no. I'm not a big drinker, but I like my margaritas. Shame. So I decided to order the chile relleño (poblano). Figured it was an easy dish that's hard to mess up. I also ordered a side of fried jalepeños with green onions. My friend's ordered some steak and chicken something or other. I even asked for a side of their hot sauce. Disappointing doesn't even cover it. There wasn't a bit of flavor in anything. No wonder we were 1 of 3 tables there the whole time. Salt wasn't able to help any of the food. My poblanos didn't even look like they were battered. The sauce most likely came straight from a #10 can. I got white onions with the Jalepeño side I ordered, again absolutely no flavor. My friend's dishes were the same. It was like it came straight from a bag in the freezer warmed up and served. I do understand that you have to be careful with your hot sauces in a restaurant, but the green hot sauce I got was not spicy whatsoever. The first thing you taste is water, then a little onion with a hint of flavor. It was just a shame and a waste of hard earned money. The waiter we had was fine, but there was no one really there to serve. It's like to cooks just don't care and going through the motions.

I'm from Texas and I have eaten a lot of TexMex food. While the food was good it did lack a little salt. I had the #1 (2 chicken enchiladas and a taco, rice and beans) and I added a tamale. I always like to try restaurants homemade tamales because it's the best way to judge a Mexican food restaurant and unfortunately this one wasn't very good. However, the enchiladas were good with queso/cheese dip on top. The beans and rice were okay but nothing to write home about. To be honest, my favorite thing I ate was dessert! The sopapillas were the BEST I've ever eaten! Thin, flakey, and crispy with a dusting of cinnamon and a drizzle of honey. Definitely save room for those if you decide to stop here.

First time diners and pleasantly surprised. Server was friendly and efficient. Ordered tamale, chicken enchiladas and spinach enchiladas. Lunch specials were a good value and very tasty. Will return.

Service was normal and good. Food has no flavor somehow, even the salsa was bland and watered down. The cheese dip had the right consistency but also lacked flavor somehow. The kids wouldn’t even eat the rice, it did have an odd flavor as well or to me like everything else seemed to lack flavor. I wondered if it were my taste buds somehow for the day since it wasn’t just one item, but seemed like the whole family thought it was off. Price was good and although the restaurant was small and cold it had the standard Mexican restaurant feel. We went to an ice cream place across the parking lot afterwards, and I can say my taste buds were...
