Beware, poor customer service. 15 Days could cost you $400.
I purchased two white leather matching Ottomans via Houzz in January. I should have known Customer Service was not their strong suit as I never received an order confirmation, a shipping notice or any communication about my order until I contact them.
The two ottomans were received, each with packaging induced flaws that we thought would fade over time. So, we kept them out of use and stored the packaging just in case......
As a result of how the boxes were stored or stacked upon each other, the leather has creases in them. On the first ottoman, there was a protective strip that ensures if someone opens the box with a box cutter, it protects the leather. Great idea, but if you stack the boxes on top of each other, it leaves a crease on the top or most visible part of the ottoman. We have a crease exactly in the middle of one of the two matching ottomans that spans the entire ottoman. So, since the ottomans are placed together...they don't match.
The second Ottoman must have been stored on it's side for the handle was pressed into the side of the ottoman and has left a dent in the leather. We thought both of these would fade over time. After approximately 45 days, we contacted the UBuy Furniture, Inc. They told to told us they would "probably fade over time".
Subsequently, with no visible change in the first 45 days, we asked if they could be exchanged and we were told, We take great pride in 100% customer satisfaction. If for any reason, you're not satisfied with your purchase, we've outlined the following guidelines to help make your return a smooth and seamless experience: You may return your unused item in its original condition and packaging within 30 days of receipt.
That was the last we ever heard from them.
Even with pictures that show each dent or crease is a result of the packaging....we are left with two sort of matching Ottomans. So, beware, the customer service disgusting after...
