Antojitos Mexicanos La Fonda — Restaurant in Crystal Lake

I decided to try a New Mexican Restaurant today and the previous reviews made this an easy decision. The outside is the restaurant is clean and has a sign that easily identifies the restaurant.

As I entered the restaurant, I was quickly greeted and my order was promptly taken. It was about 10 minutes total to get my food.

I ordered the Asada burrito dinner and was very impressed with the taste of the steak. The burrito had little to no grizzle on the steak which is a big plus in my book. It was just over $11 for a burrito, rice, and beans. With the prices the way they are, this is a good price. The burrito was filled with meat and was a perfect lunch choice. I also have to commend the effort they put into packing the to go container so the food isn’t a jumble mess in there. They also supplied napkins, hot sauce, silverware, etc without being asked.

The inside of the restaurant was clean. I only wished they had some tables to enjoy my food inside instead...

Walked in with my two boys just before closing and they were happy to see and serve us. Taco Tuesday is 3 for $6 bucks, which is an unbeatable deal today, and came out fresh and delicious. Best part might be the freshly made churros, however, as they are serious in size and came out perfect. We waited maybe 10 min for our order, totally fine, and were told each of us could get a drink on the house. Looking forward to giving them more of my business...

First time in we had to wait a little while which is no problem just dinner for on the way home, was a little put off at a $7 quesadilla but once home and opened DAMN the C H E E S E thats hows a quesadilla should look!!! and for a lil more you get a burrito the size of a new born 10/10 place, that first time they we're so sweet to comp our wait with a dessert the food is fantastic and im happy its just a short drive...
