I looked on the internet to find a jeweler that I felt comfortable with and confident with, that my jewelry would be in the proper care of, and I picked Jim Green Jewelers. I Went in with a ring to have a sizer band put on it, and a chain shortened for my pendant. I have been in a few big name jewelry stores with my husband, and I always felt a bit uncomfortable and heavy pressed to buy something. I must say, I felt completely comfortable and confident that I came to the right place for these adjustments, as the very awesome associate at the register, was friendly, fun and knowledgeable of my needs. While I was going over the length of my chain with her, they came out with my ring already with the sizer band on it and he wanted me to try it on to make sure it fit proper. I asked her if there was anyway that I could pick my chain up the next day, due to my work schedule, and she put a happy face and a please rush note on my order, and...it was ready for me the next day. We have been customers of Jim Green jewelers for many years and have always been satisfied with the quality of our purchases and the value received. Recently my wife had an heirloom ring crack next to a decorative design area. The well-worn ring had been passed down generation to generation from my wife's Italian great-great Grandmother so it is priceless to her. Told that they buy gold. Went there promptly and was told no. Upon asking for Lady I spoke to, the owner Jim comes out. I tried to explain what I was told and he yelled at me I don't want to hear it. Jim looks at my gold piece weighs it at 3.2 grams, does nothing else to it and replies you have maybe $9 worth of what is gold in it. I realized he was cheating me.
