We really wanted to like this place,we visited the weeked of thanksgiving and also the weeked of christmas. Our first visit, unfortunately the maid had not changed the sheets prior to our visit. When we got in on our first night,we pulled the covers back to go bed & noticed 3 spots of blood on the sheets, me being a realist was hoping it was just a stain,a clean sheet, but stained. But as we pulled the sheet back you could see where the blood had gone through the bottom sheet. After pulling the top sheet back there was a small child size hand print with something that appeared to be cheetos, this was not a stain,it was dirty sheets. After getting clean sheets we finished our stay,as we could not check out due to the thanksgiving holiday, & because we prepaid for the room on priceline.we told the manager that we weren't looking for a free stay but we wanted to bring it to her attention that her house Keepers had been slacking. She told us to give her a call so she could discount our room on our next day. This brings us up to this last visit. We booked a room for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They did give us a half off discount. Although if I was the manager and a guest found Blood on the sheets I would have given them a free stay for the amount of days they had paid for in the past. Especially considering what was found on the sheets. But we took the discount and we're happy with that, we cannot take pictures last time because I had not intended on leaving a bad review. I was going to let them make it right and leave them a good review seeing as we visit bi-weekly the area and would like a hotel to stay at that we were familiar with. This past day over the Christmas holiday was overall pretty good. However, since we had an experience wood sheets that had not been cleaned in the past we checked our seats again. This time I was able to get pictures but they weren't very clear. On one of the beds there was once again signs of the sheets have not been changed. One of the beds look changed. One of the beds when pulling the sheets back there were hairs in the bed that obviously didn't belong to us since we had just checked in and pulled the sheets back. I'm not saying that it's unreasonable to expect perfection however considering our past experience I would think the management would have double checked the room before we checked in. On top of their being hairs wooden pulling the sheets off the bed there was also a blood-stained this time. I did take a picture and will and close it with this review. It may have only been one small blood stain but the point is why leave Staind sheets blankets are mattress covers when it's very easy to change these things to make clean for the next guest. On top of this two of the pillow cases are very dirty and Faded not stand. I did take pictures of the pillow cases and they aren't real clear but you could definitely tell they are dirty. There was an ink stain on one which is fine for me and I could totally sleep on it however we brought our own pillows. The same pillowcase with an ink stain on it also head dirt smeared on it or make up of some kind. The pillowcase was also very faded compared to the other pillow cases. We were very disappointed and did not bring it to Management's attention this time because we do not intend on staying here again. Ana positive the front desk employees are very kind, and their continental breakfast is delicious and overall it's a decent hotel. But one thing that should not be looked over at a hotel stay are things that are unsanitary. Having clean bed sheets it's something people look forward to and staying in a hotel. Expecting a continental breakfast not to be perfect or taste like a four-star restaurant is expected. Having clean sheets is expected. The general manager Michelle did generally seem to care our first visit when we complained,We don't want to come off as people looking for a freebi but it boils down to providing not only a clean room but a...
Read moreHampton Inn, BEST hotel in the whole area. Extremely clean rooms and common areas. Great staff, friendly and helpful. This is the only place I’m staying when in the area OR anywhere Hampton Inns are located. I apologize for going off on a tangent in my original review, I was just so excited not to be where I was and not headed back to Tampa for the night. We hit the Jack pot last night. Last week we had family in and stayed at an Airbnb. Nice place but it was roach infested. I hate roaches and will not live with them in my house or where I sleep. Didn’t blame the owner as I know German roaches don’t walk into a place they are brought in. However, when I complain and show you pictures of your place with roaches, don’t blame me, call for pest control. So we go home and come back this weekend. Had booked another hotel only to walk in the room and see a roach run across the floor. WTH?? If I have to drive back to Tampa get up early, early to come back here that’s what I’ll do to avoid sleeping with roaches. Called Hampton Inn. Thank you, Lord, they have a room. They were booked solid then two rooms opened up. (Miracles do happen!) Got to Hampton, checked in. Went upstairs and opened the room door, had my flashlight out so I can see any scurrying that might be going on. Nothing. Nowhere. No roaches! None. I think I could have found toilet tissue in the toilet and lipstick on the towels and been ok with it as long as there were no roaches. THANK YOU, Hampton Inn for taking care of problems before you have a problem. Oh, room was clean, staff friendly. I will definitely stay at Hampton again and I’ll book way in advance. I plopped down on that amazingly comfortable bed and went straight to...
Read moreI really want to like Hampton Inns, but they keep letting me down. Our room had an "unclean" odor. Then I noticed hairs on the floor of the shower. But the real kicker was the toilet that clogged up. We called the front desk about it, and a woman came up and tried to plunge it with a sink plunger. We asked if this happens often and she said yes. When that didn't work, she said she may have to move us (at 8:45 pm) to a room with 2 queen beds, not a king bed room like the one we were occupying. My husband then showed her a picture of a toilet plunger on his phone, and she came back with the right plunger and cleared the clog. Fast forward to the next morning and the toilet stops up again. This time, I call the front desk and get no answer. I go down and tell them about the issue and the woman behind the desk says maintenance hasn't arrived yet, hands me a plunger and a trash bag, and tells me to put it in the bag in the hallway when I'm done. Are you kidding me??? I came back down to the desk again and asked for maintenance to take care of it and explained that we were going to need some compensation on the room because of this. They offered points. About 20 minutes later, up comes maintenance, who clears the toilet yet again. We checked out shortly thereafter. The room wasn't cheap and no compensation was offered, and when we asked for it, they only offered points because we made our reservation through a third-party site online. So I'm now done with Hampton Inns. Especially the one in Crystal River and if you choose to stay there, make sure you pack your plunger. You're...
