Crystal River Escape Room — Attraction in Crystal River

My husband and I have been to 3 prior escape rooms in 3 different cities. This one was by far a let down. We did the autopsy room. The game lacked variety. It was more or less just a bunch of boxes with the same types of locks. You open a box to get another box with a lock. I've always had a blast after an escape room and my mind exhausted. This one just left me feeling like I paid for something I didn't receive. The person overseeing our room was constantly giving us tips, when unasked but at the same time they needed to because the came was poorly planned. To top it off most everything in the room you touched was sticky. We had to wash our hands twice before leaving the building. I've orchestrated my own escape room for a girl scout troop and mine was much better than this one. You just can't have a bunch of lock boxes with some codes numbers thrown here and there and call it an...

I'm sorry but someone on this app had to be honest. This escape room was pretty much a mess. It felt sketchy to walk into this weird building. We did the Attic, which we know is the hardest room, but for bad reasons. It's just a MESS. There is way too much irrelevant information in this room. I've done like 15 escape rooms before, and I have never been forced to ask for so many hints.

On top of this, the person that setup the escape room before our game misplaced an important part of one puzzle, making it unsolvable and therefore, us unable to escape the room. Specifically, it was a magnet placed in a maze, and the magnet was not placed at the start of the maze (or connecting to the magnetic object it was SUPPOSED to be connected to).

We had a great time at the Escape Room in Crystal River. We went to celebrate a birthday. When we walked in the 2 people that welcomed us were very pleasant and nice. It is hard to find this anymore, seems like everyone is upset they have to "wait on you". Not these guys. They were nice and personable!

The instructions were very clear and we were told several times how to receive help (if needed).

I was impressed with the actual escape room because it was clean, there were no trashy photos or insinuations, etc. Very family friendly and great for puzzle solvers. The clues were simply hidden and challenging...
