We didn't visit the theaters as often since it usually cost us a good bit to attend. Now that I was told about Monday's, it's more affordable to attend. Monday's : "Golden Star discount day"- $6.25 per ticket + a small popcorn then they have Seniors day every Tuesday at the Lavale location. You have plenty of movie options to choose from- 7 films in total. You can purchase online then visit the kiosk stand to receive the ticket. Basic consession stand with limited items. I do recommend purchasing one of the combos instead of buying individual items as they are costly. I absolutely love the popcorn & you can add as much salt + butter you want on either end of snack area. I have bought a bags whenever I wasn't seeing a movie. Each employee that I came across was fantastic, helpful and courteous. When entering & exiting it is fairly dim so they may want to brighten the area just little more for safety. The theater seats are comfortable nothing luxurious but better than what was there before. The seats seem wider with more room, not overcrowded as it was. There is a designated area for wheelchair accessibility. The screen quality & sound was great. It is chilly in the theater but it always was ever since I can remember, so don't change that as most of us know this. I have to mention the cup holders haha! they will hold any sized drink lol. I remember growing up, only regular fountain cups fit so you had to hold anything bigger. The theater & entrance was clean & tidy, as well as bathrooms ( at least in the women's). This is a great place for entertainment.
Golden Star â, you show try to incorporate a caddy or bag type carrier for customers purchasing multiple consession items, or just needing help. It's hard to juggle multiple items with / or without kids. Anyone who's taken 5+ kids to a movie with 1 or 2 adults knows what I'm talking about. It can possibly help cut down on...
Read moreThe new seats alone are worth a visit. Really nice. But, what inspired me to leave a review was the (I believe) manager, Annie. When I come to the movies it's almost always with work and almost always with a large group of individuals with special needs. I work for a fantastic group of people but, of course, we come with certain behaviors that can be a challenge for those who serve the public and, unfortunately, it is not unusual for certain people who serve us to withdraw or avoid our groups or try to provide service as quickly as possible. Annie, without exception, has treated our group with incredible warmth and I want to say "patience," but she never seems like she's trying to be patient. She is effortlessly kind and welcoming. An observer who didn't know better might think that some of the folks in our group must be her family because of the time and attention she gives. She has gone above and beyond to be welcoming and to make sure everyone is happy and that everyone comes back, every time we visited. I won't go into detail but today, in particular, there was a moment that would have been too much for most people to deal with. It would've been completely understandable for her to point to one of us who are the staff working with these individuals, rather than step in but she didn't miss a beat. She kept everything comfortable and easy, and just maintained friendly professionalism as if it was the most natural thing in the world. Annie is extraordinary. And, I am grateful for the confidence I feel bringing all of the individuals I work with to this theater. She makes it an island of safety for these folks and we always have a great time. Bravo! I hope Golden Star Theaters appreciates how fortunate they are to have this person...
