Well, I’ll start with the one positive: The brownie on the brownie Sundae was soft and warm which was very delicious and complimented the cool vanilla ice cream underneath. HOWEVER, the amount of ice cream that was in the cup compared to the $10 price tag we paid was very bare to say the least.
Now, time for the not so positive experience: My wife and I walked in around 7pm last Friday evening. There were only two customers in the shop when we walked in, so the place was not busy. There were two employees behind the counter at that time, one near the cash register and the other just sitting on the side on her phone. Not a big issue, because the place was not busy. We placed our order and then went and sat down. Maybe two minutes after we sat down a couple more customers walk in and order. As time passes we start to notice that those customers that walked in after us were receiving their orders. After about 20 minutes I walk up to check on our order. I asked the guy who had originally rang us up, “Hey! I was just checking on our order, because we haven’t received ours yet.” He asks me what we had ordered and then the girl that was making the ice cream gave me a look like she was annoyed that I was asking. I told them my order and then they just kind of looked at each other like, “what do we do?” The guy finally says, “we’ll bring it out to you in just a couple minutes.” I went and sat down and said to my wife, “well, that was kind of awkward… I told them that we hadn’t received our order yet and then the girl gave me an annoyed look... I have no idea why.” The girl that gave the look was the one who also brought our brownie Sundae out to our table. She apologized for the lateness of our order which was very nice, but it still didn’t change the overall experience.
We didn’t have a terrible experience, because nothing went wrong other than our order being skipped or misplaced. The brownie was delicious. Ice cream was good but not enough. The atmosphere of the ice cream shop was fun, we loved...
Read more**Update. I decided to give it another try when my family was in town. I went the day before thanksgiving and checked their hours online first because the owner’s previous response said they only close early for family emergencies and would never put a note on the door. Yet again, they closed early and put up a note on the door. Which they claim to never do. It’s almost comical at this point.
I’ve been here 3 times and every time it’s a little crazy. The people at the counter always seem like they don’t know what’s really going on either. There’s never any clear place to line up so the counter staff are always hesitant to take the next person and just stand there. No one ever knows who’s next. It’s extremely awkward and I’m often not helped in the correct order since everyone assumes they’re next. The last time I was there on a Saturday night, they turned off the menu board 20 min before closing, while I was ordering and it was also very awkward. Especially since I was trying to read what items had the allergy note next to them. Another time, I went on a Sunday at 6 or 7 pm and the door said they closed early for “summer hours”. I had brought my friends from out of town to have ice cream and was shocked that an ice cream shop would close early in the summer?? Isn’t that the most popular ice cream time? I’ll have to remember to call the store personally and check times, since google wasn’t updated for summer hours. Bottom line, please make a clear...
Read moreIt did take 30 minutes to get the ice cream. That being said the location is new, there were a lot of people.. I won't judge them on that.
I will judge the customer service. Not all of the flavors align w/how they are labelled. So much so, that when I asked an employee to double check a flavor they thought the ice cream was mislabeled in their freezer. The Asst. Manager's approach was to tell me that I, and their staff, were misinterpreting the flavors. I disagree. But alright, let's assume my palate isn't prepared for their ice cream. Rather than saying tough you're not tasting it right a better approach would be. "I'm sorry sir. There are components in this ice cream that can make it taste a bit different than expected. If you're unhappy can we get you...
