We went to the Well to celebrate my son's 22 nd birthday and to see the band. Our server and the band were very good. My son, who is autistic was having a great time stood up to video the band when a roid raging security member charged up to him and started yelling, all the people at the adjacent tables couldn't believe what was going on and the unprofessional and uncalled for actions of this security guy. Now I can empathize with security as I have worked security at many venues to include bars and music venues in California, Louisiana and Georgia. I have never witnessed such unprofessional behavior buy security as I did last night. Then the first manager that came over was just as bad. Telling us we should not be upset and threatened to throw us out. A second manager came over and was very professional. She took the time to speak with me and apologized for the unprovoked treatment my son received from the security. About 30 minutes later the security guy did come over and apologize but by then it was too late as my autistic son was in a bad state as he thought he had done something wrong. Read moreWe went in for lunch; it was slow, the food was good, and the service was barely fair. I had to keep waving him down, although there were only four tables with customers maximum. When we were done, we got his attention and told him we wanted our check. He asked if we wanted on one bill or two. I said one, and he grabbed my credit card. He returned with the receipt where you add the tip, total, and sign. I went to fill it in but thought it looked a little high. I asked to see an itemized copy. Five minutes later, he returned and said he had to get his manager to reverse off because he had no idea how the extra $4 was added to the bill, and now it was closed. We waited another five minutes, and he brought me a copy of it; it was odd how $4 additional dollars were added to the total. He reversed it off, and I got a new cc bill. I still gave him a tip, and he apologized; it was just odd because usually, you get the itemized bill first and don't have to ask for it, and it was even a little weird since it seemed he only had one other table with five people. Read moreMy kids and I thought we’d give this place a try since it was Monday and most city center restaurants are closed. The hostess was just as sweet as she could be. She sat us quickly and answered all my questions. The problem came after. We sat at our table for 20 minutes without a word from anyone. No water, drinks, in fact our server never came over. She did walk past us about 5 times but never bothered to try and serve us. Knowing it’s a new establishment I thought I’d give them the benefit of the doubt and went back to the hostess stand to inquire about our server. The hostess said she’d have her come right out. We waited another 10 minutes and the waitress never came over. We decided to go some where else. I understand having to work out the kinks of being newly opened but to be informed that your customer hadn’t be served and then still not have a waitress come out is just unacceptable.
