This is going to be long. I think that 3 stars is fair due to the pros and cons. I tried out the unlimited class package for almost $300/month for 3 months and I would honestly not recommend it for the price. I think it's a great workout overall and some of the instructors make you WORK which is amazing. My favorites were Samantha, Vanity, and Madison - they guarantee you feel a good burn in class and are nice. other coaches often made me feel like I was just stretching (nothing wrong with that just not what I wanted) and some acted annoyed at us doing moves wrong. I think that if you do a cheaper package the environment is ok but for $300 I thought it was not worth the price. The initiation fee was like $50 for literally no reason? just cash grab - they didn't even include a pair of socks or a water bottle lol so you're paying 300/ month to just go into the studio BUT most classes are on waitlist for WEEKS. if you didn't book for a class tomorrow a week ago chances of you getting is is slim to none- especially AM classes or speciality classes definitely do not recommend for new moms or those that have an unreliable schedule because they require 12 hours cancellation or they charge you $15-20 EACH class you miss; I've tried other memberships (orange theory, spinning, yoga - and this was never this strict/hard to cancel; my previous bootcamp was a cancellation of 2 hours like life is unexpected) especially for 300/month?! also they say that one of the pros of having the most expensive package is that if you need to cancel past the 12 hours you can call them so that they can switch you to another time on the same day. but every time I tried to call for the early classes no one would answer and when I tried to figure this out their answer was "oh yea instructors are here alone in the mornings so we don't answer the phone" which ok fair. but then how does this membership perk help me?? then after complaining about it they were like oh you can text or email us? ok lol so if you don't answer my text or email im still getting charged .... they don't have speciality classes in the morning so you only get to pick between flow 1 and 1.5 mostly not the other ones that are focused on balance, or cardio (sometimes its there too) but to be fair I never brought this up so maybe they don't know others would like speciality classes in the morning. Even at 300/month you have to wipe down the equipment yourself and set up for the next class - I don't mind doing this but it just seems like its not my responsibility while also ... how do I know the person before me actually wiped things down well ? or is this procedure sanitary ... other gyms I've been too clean with disinfectant sprays etc (totally personal not really a reason why its less stars than 5) overall the coaches were mostly awesome and the location is pretty and the classes were overall very fun/good workout but I can't help but feel like I wasted $1000 for 3 months of being charged for cancels and not really having any other luxury over the other cheaper packages. The business model just seems to be a cash grab to me. How am I goin to pay 300/month wipe and set up my own equipment get charged $15-20 for late cancels and get nothing but classes lol just not my favorite experience. I feel like this should be like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have already read all of the other complaints about their charges and the response from management that is completely defensive so I can already tell how this will go. But it needs to be said. I had the 8pack class per month and was paying $230 a month. Let me first start off with the instructors are amazing. Especially Madison and Samantha. This club is lucky to have them.
I never used all 8 of my classes in any given moment I was there and never complained or asked to be rolled over because I knew thatās my own fault and I couldnāt make it. there were many times when I booked classes and I had to go into my business on emergency and had to pay cancellation and I didnāt bat an eyelash because I know again, thatās my fault. So letās be clear that I was paying for classes I wasnāt taking and paying late cancellation fees for some I couldnāt attend. Not once did I complain.
In January I was gone for 2 weeks with my kids. I called a few times to pause my membership for february and no one would ever answer. I finally left a voicemail and the. didnāt response to calling me till AFTER my new billing cycle happened so I paid yet another month. I had asked them to pause and they told me I had to pay the $25 holding fee? Seriously! you couldnāt take that from the TWO months of classes I paid for and toon TWO classes of the 16!? Listen I own a business that operated off of memberships and I know theirs is one thing to have policies but another thing to accommodate good paying clients you donāt want to lose. and she told me if I cancel now, iāll still be charged for march since this back and forth went on for days over email. So I told her to just cancel it. I was still charged for march. so weāre at a grand total of $690 for two pilates classes.
To the owner: thereās an entire facebook group that talks about this issue with club pilates. you will continually have high turnover for this reason. sure grab that extra 230 from me ⦠which would have easily been 3,000+ from me if I didnāt cancel. which I never planned on I just was going to be out of florida for weeks.
If you are someone who has a business and have to be flexible club pilates is not for you. thereās no loyalty to the clients who pay. I also had a friend be treated like this after celebrating her 100...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience with Club Pilates, particularly with the owner, Tara, and the receptionist, Marlene, has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Despite clear communication about my extended travel plans and a direct request to freeze my membership during my absence, unauthorized charges continued to appear on my account. Tara and Marlene assured me that the freeze would be implemented, and I would not be charged during my trip. However, their promises were not fulfilled, and I was charged $183 four times during my absence, totaling $732. Instead of the agreed-upon freeze fee of $15 per month. It is evident to me that Club Pilates prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. Their disregard for my requests and their failure to take responsibility for their actions demonstrate a lack of accountability and integrity. What adds to the frustration is that I was charged $732 before even stepping a foot in the club, except for the grand opening where I requested the freeze in person. This level of disregard for customer trust and satisfaction is unacceptable. Furthermore, I must address that Tara and Marlene's charming smiles and sweet talk are incredibly fake. Their demeanor may seem welcoming, but their actions betray a lack of genuine care for their customers' well-being. Overall, my experience with Club Pilates has been far from satisfactory. The unauthorized charges and lack of accountability have left me feeling frustrated and disillusioned. It is clear to me that this club is not interested in building loyalty with its customers; they are only interested in taking their money. In summary, I cannot recommend Club Pilates to others. Potential customers should be wary of trusting their promises and should consider alternative options for their...
