Disappointed. I will stick to my shop on 529.
Here at Lux, I felt like just another customer & from the overall finished nails of my friends that i went with, not all techs are qualified plus I felt like I was hassled for additional services.
Beautiful clean location. Greeted with a smile by gentleman at front. No Bloody Mary drinks..bummer! They did suggest an orange mimosa (I’m not a fan of chAmpagne) drinks were served in what seemed a plastic cup for a water fountain. With the location, i expected to be wowed…I wasn’t.
Requested the black matte dip (never told it would be additional $5) I’ve had my nails dipped and I’ve never been left with so much black powder ALL over my hands!. When I was asked to wash my hands, I was literally scrubbing my hands of powder for a good few minutes.
There is an additional $5 charge if you want them to cut your cuticles. (I guess the rent on their location requires them to charge for ANYTHING they do & charge you)(rent IS expensive there)
Whoever my tech was, left my nails looking like I had a clump of chalk paint on them. I had black dip residue I had to pick off my fingers. All around my nails I had black.(see pictures) the bottom/inside of my nails were never touched (you know that cone drill ..or it may be $5 more)
Came back to table after washing my hands, my tech left and didn’t say thank you or goodbye.
I asked the front desk gentleman (manager?) if I could get them shiny. The matte look was not what I expected. And did NOT like end result.
Julie, the tech that was doing my friends nails, said she would help me as soon as she was done with my friend. That’s when I saw my friend getting a quick massage. I’ve been to many places that end your service with a quick massage, well, not here. (Or maybe they do for an extra $5) Julie made my nails shiny and gave me a quick massage. (No charge! Tip earned!)
Checkout was quick but I hate places that ask you how much you want to leave for tip. (In front of people) Give me the chance to privately make that decision on a screen or write it on the receipt paper. Js.

Read moreI will never go back to this salon! Had to go here because my usual salon was booked.. Got my dip nails on Friday and by Monday I noticed multiple nails lifting!! $45 btw.. By Monday evening 2 nails had pop off completely! By Wednesday 4 nails had popped off and more were lifting! I’ve never seen dip nails do this before! I called Tuesday to see if they could fix them and a male (I believe he is the boss or owner) told me to come Wednesday. When I got to my appointment they acted like they didn’t want to help me because the lady that originally did my nails wasn’t there and asked me to come back Friday. I told them I wanted to get them fixed that day and they told me to wait 45 min. On top of this they didn’t save my nail shade! We were trying to color match it, but couldn’t find a match. After 30 minutes of trying to color match they told me that the girls working didn’t want to do my nails because they won’t get paid for the serve since it was a fix. By this time I was getting annoyed! My $45 nails had popped off in 5 days and they didn’t want to help me and they didn’t know my shade! They told me to come back Friday and that I could probably get a new full set. They also took a picture of my nails for “proof” so that I didn’t get turned down for a new set... They were all so unprofessional on every level!! I can’t believe they told me they don’t want to fix my nails because they weren’t get paid for the service. I would have tipped them! I didn’t even go back for my “new set” I wasn’t going to waste my time. I will never return here!! Go to Executive Nail Spa!! I’ll never go...

I’m really disappointed. I’ve been coming here for 3 years religiously. They past few months have not been great. I get the same thing every time. Clear tips, gel, and almond. The total is usually $55 and then I tip on top of that. Today, i went to get the same thing (plus a red heart on my ring finger for Valentine’s Day) and they lady doing my nails said it would be $85! Absolutely not. I told her that I would just pay for her taking off my cuticles today and that i would find somewhere else. On their menu, it’s $55 for a set + shellac, and $5 for a shape. Originally I was told the heart would be another $5. To me, the math = $65, so I’m not sure how it adds up to $85! Even if she wanted to charge $5 for removing cuticles (which she did a poor job of), the total would still only be $70. The lady at the front desk said each nail tech gets to decide the price for their designs, so she thought the nail tech was charging me way more. Another nail tech came to look at what I wanted and said he would do it for $65, so I said that was fine. This is what I got… white glued on tips that look chunky. I’m just so disappointed after being a loyal customer for 3 years. I’ll be looking for somewhere else that has a more reasonable price for...
