Worst service in Cypress. We had made a reservation for 10 at 7pm to celebrate my birthday. We arrived timely. The hostess told us the table was not ready and sent us to the bar area. Needless to say, we were seated at 8pm. I asked the hostess what was the purpose of making a reservation if the table would not be ready. She said reservations worked in a first come first serve basis. Does that even make sense? After talking to the manager, we were seated at 8pm, an hour later. We waited 35 minutes for them to get our drink order and another 20 minutes to get our drinks. Then 20 more minutes until they came to get our order. We spent a total of 3 hours and 45 minutes at this restaurant to eat dinner. The hibachi was good, expect for the steak, which was a bit gummy. The chef did not ask me how I wanted it done either, but he did ask the others. Chicken and shrimp were good. Sushi was also good. I won't be visiting this place ever again after the service they provided, and to make things even worse, the manager was the one attending our table. To be fair to her, she was all over the place. It's a shame because it's a very nice area, but they need to highly improve in their service.

I just read their response, and their comment about their policy on not seating a reservation until the whole party arrives. That is very understandable, but in my case there was no table available at 7pm, which it was the time of my reservation, our last guest arrived at 7:06pm, only 6 minutes later, and the table was still not available. After the long wait to get service after they finally sat us down, any guest that arrived later wouldn’t have made a...

I wasn't impressed at all. The service was awful. Went with a party of 12 people for Mother's Day, after my niece convinced us the restaurant was excellent, so we drove over an hour to celebrate there. We had a reservation for 6:30 pm, but we had to wait 2 hours to be seated (8:30 pm), not to mention it was very uncomfortable inside. It was as if they had no air conditioning on, and when the chef's were cooking at other tables, the heat from the grill made it even hotter. After we were seated the waiter took our drink orders and and at this time we ordered our food as well. The drinks were brought out promptly, but we didn't receive our soup, salad, and spring rolls until after 9 pm, and they close at 10 pm. We asked to speak to the manager, but she never came, so after about 20 minutes of waiting for her, someone in our party looked for her. She knew that we had an issue, so she sent the chef to our table immediately, but she never came to the table to address our issues. After the person in our party spotted her, she was very inconsiderate and rude, and offered us a 10% discount (for a party of 12), and we left the establishment. I will never, ever, ever frequent this restaurant again, or recommend this restaurant. I was so disappointed, because I felt like the money was more important than the service provided. Sometimes it is not about the money, but the service. If you treat your customers fairly, the customers will come back, but not for...

⛰🔥⛰🔥⛰🔥⛰🔥⛰🔥 It had been awhile since I had sushi🍤🎎🎌, so I'm really glad we visited this place last weekend!!😆😆😆😆😆 I was especially pleased😃 to see the outdoor🌄 boardwalk seating which is great on those rarely comfortable Houston summer🌇 nights! Glancing over the menu, they have good variety of choices🍲🍢🍣 to accommodate every pocketbook💵💸. And although the hibachi seating was calling my name a little bit, we had gone for sushi🍱, so we stuck with that plan. As any typical Japanese🎎🎌 restaurant, they have all the classic sushi rolls, but they had several items made just for the locals: rolls with crawfish🍤 & chicken🐓 and the appropriately named Cypress Roll. We decided to eat family👪 style, each of us getting a roll to share with the rest of the table, so we could sample multiple sushi rolls and gauge how good the food was here. And honestly, our hungry stomachs were very pleased! The only negative🚫 of our visit was the odor⚠ that hit us as soon as we walked in the door: like a foul wet cloth sitting in the washing machine for 3 days☣. Yeah, I know this place serves raw fish🐟🐙, but this is honestly the first time I've ever smelled👃 an unwanted odor in a sushi🍱 restaurant. Once we were surrounded by our food, though, the odor couldn't be detected🚭, but it was not the first impression for which I was hoping. All in all, 4 stars❇, and I'll be going back to this place for sure💯. You should check it out, too!🏁🏁🏁 (If you LIKED this review, click the THUMBS UP...

We like it here but most interestingly, my 10 year old likes eating here. Great service, good food and nice location for pics.

We’ve been to this restaurant a few times now, and each visit has been consistently wonderful, never failing to impress. The food is always top-notch, from the tender, perfectly cooked chicken to the flavorful fried rice and the mouthwatering sushi. One standout item that I always look forward to is the yellowtail sashimi – it’s always incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. The ginger dressing on the side salad is also one of the best I’ve ever tasted; it’s tangy, yet smooth, with just the right amount of spice. That being said, there was one small downside to this visit. While the food was amazing as always, the chef seemed a little rushed and didn’t put as much effort into the usual tricks and playful banter that make the experience feel more interactive and fun. I understand that the restaurant can get busy, but I do enjoy the entertainment factor of the meal. I come here not just for the delicious food, but also for the show. It’s always a bonus when the chef goes the extra mile to engage the adults as well as the kids. Hopefully, on our next visit, the chef will bring back a little more of that playful energy we’ve come to expect. Overall, though, it’s always a great experience. The atmosphere, food quality, and service are all fantastic, and I look forward to many more visits in the future.
