I saw Dr Heffelfinger for (2) dental implants. At that time Legacy Dental was running a special - implant, abutment and crown for $2000. I payed for my treatment and began. I was assured great odds -- Dr Heffelfinger even touted his spotless record -- he'd never had an implant fail. I had nothing to lose and each implant was backed with a money back guarantee. After the first implant failed I was disheartened but trusted we could make the second implant a success. I asked for my money back but instead was told that it would be applied to other cost from the successful implant. I was sent home to wait for my new crown to arrive. I phoned countless times asking if my crown was in. To my astonishment the 3 week turn around took more than 7 months. Eventually after heated exchange my crown arrived -- it arrived but it was molded wrong and didn't fit. At this point I decided to seek another opinion. I was informed by my new dentist that the implant that took had been seated above the bone line and therefor would need to be removed. In the meantime my teeth have shifted I now need even more work to combat my top teeth falling because of the extended amount of time that has passed without the implants to keep them where they belong. I just moved here to Dallas and I brought both of my boys (ages 2 and 5 years old) here. The front desk staff was very helpful and kind. They even called my insurance and helped me change my boys doctor. Dr. Jorge was very knowledgeable, patient and answered all my questions. He took his time and didn't rush our appointment. His assistant was kind and made me feel comfortable more importantly she made my sons feel comfortable. I am very picky about where I take my kids for any type of medical care and I ALWAYS do my research and go off my gut feeling. I would recommend Legacy Dentist on Gaston Ave. for your kids and yourself! I will be making an appointment for myself soon. Didn’t have a good experience at the office with Dr. Sohail Dar. My son had 2 cavities that could of been fixed at the office. He didn’t give the Nitrous oxide a try. He immediately suggested they get removed. My son is 5 years old. He referred us to the children’s hospital where they would extract those teeth. I got a second opinion at Smile Safari where Arvind Shanadi, a Pediatric Dentist. Where he explained and was upset on the work that was going to be done to my son. He said he could easily fix my sons teeth with crowns and have no need to extract them. Him being so young would been a extremely painful and wrongful surgery.
