This was a decent stay. Understand due to Covid-19, things have changed like brown paper bags for breakfast, which wasn't a big deal considering I hardly eat breakfast at hotels. Nonetheless, the reason for the 3 stars are noted below: 1. I arrived in the middle of the night, maybe about 1am for check-in looking forward to a hot shower. To my surprise, it appeared whenever I would turn the shower knob to the letter "H" (symbol for hot temperature), the temperature would be cold. I informed staff and told them I was a little disappointed about taking a cold bath and believe the hot temperature is malfunctioned. The next morning, maintenance stopped by and then noted the shower knob temperature was switched; "C" indicated hot and "H" was cold. The maintenance guy said it must have been switched during building/installation process. This wouldn't have been much of a big deal if I was given this information prior to showering. I encourage representatives of the hotel to look at all rooms and have little informational postage for such switching temperature in the specified rooms. 2. Due to Covid-19, I've been even more cautious of the cleanliness of my surrounding than before. Unfortunately, when I woke up the next day after checking in, I noticed someone's artificial nail located near the entrance of the bathroom floor. I questioned staff and informed them that this brings me great concerns whether or not this room was thoroughly clean prior to my reservation, considering the artificial nail was in a noticeable location. 3. As I was leaving to step away from the hotel for a few hours, I brought it to the front desk staff's attention that while housekeeping was cleaning and vacuuming hallways, an awful aroma started to arise. It seems to have been stronger when the vacuum was in use. The staff took note, and when I returned, there was a nice fragrance (as if they've freshened the halls with air freshener), and the smell was gone. Despite numbers 1 and 2 inconvenient situations, the staff did offer a room change multiple times, which I kindly declined. I just requested housekeeping to re-clean room, which they did. Overall, the hotel room presented with modern details and I was still able to enjoy my stay. Hopefully, this review continues to promote improvement within the business. Thank you.

By far one of the WORST hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel itself isn’t bad. However, we booked directly through the hotel to have a suite with a king bed. At check-in, we were notified that the room we had booked was completely sold out. They said when you book through the hotel, it doesn’t actually guarantee a room. All they had available was a much smaller room, not a suite, but we would be charged the same price as we were originally going to pay for the suite. After about 10 minutes of speaking with them, a suite “happen to open up”. The hotel room was totally thrashed, had fire damage around the microwave and cabinet doors missing, and smelled horribly of smoke. Despite the fact that I’m pregnant and was traveling with my baby, we decided to stay in the room because we knew there was no other option. They would not give me a receipt until check out but I knew I needed to check after how the experience had gone so far. We checked out yesterday, and I just received a copy of the receipt. They charged us the rate that we booked for the first night, however, they charge us $30 extra for the second night. We were never notified. I just spoke to the front desk, and was told, “ well, we were really busy that day, so with the occupancy, we charged you more”. I have never had a hotel do that before. Nobody is able to help adjust this, and everyone I speak to at the front desk is not helpful at all, often very rude. I would HIGHLY recommend you not book at this hotel. There are plenty others in the area that would be much better!

This hotel was a complete fail: Pre-booked & paid via Priceline for Thursday night, 8/6/20. Arrived around 10 pm and were checked into a dirty room in 2nd floor. (Unmade). Front desk sends us to the 7th floor (713) with new key cards and our luggage, neither key card worked. We were transferred down the hall to 703 and waited in the hall for 15 min for front desk to bring new cards. 703 was fine except for the following: 1.there was no water pressure t any of the sinks or the shower or toilet 2. There was no shampoo in the shower just an empty space 3. Several lights were not working or burned out 4. The toilet paper holder was broken and the roll of paper would roll on the floor 5. There were 2 towels, 1 hand towel and 2 washclothes in the bathroom, no extras 6. There was no hand soap for either sink 7. No apologies or offers of amenities or comps from management; the GM didn't even work until the following day at 3 pm. (Kind of odd for a GMs schedule.) This place is newly opened, too new to have lights out or key card sensors broken, but old enough to have the kinks worked out. I think perhaps the Element Corporate project manager might wanna do a punch-list walk through with their contractor and then alert housekeeping to clean the rooms and coordinate with Front desk daily.. just sayin'.

We had a late check in around 10pm. The booking was prepayed and the hotel wasn't busy at all so it's not as if they were caught off guard or too overwhelmed with other guests. On the way to the room I noticed the absolute lack of guests wearing face covering even though it says it's required on all the entrances and online when you book the room. The elevators and hallways were extremely hot.

The first room we were assigned was on the 2nd floor and when we walked in it was very confusing because of the lighting and the TV blasting and the unkempt condition at first made us think someone was still in the room. Upon further inspection it turns out it wasn't cleaned at all since the last guests had departed. It was very unsanitary and basically we walked unwillingly into someone else's room during a pandemic and I find that extremely unprofessional and actually put our health at risk.

I called the front desk and the lady that checked us in seemed amused even though she apologized and told me to come back down to the desk and switch rooms. So I went back and got keys to a new room on the 7th floor. We get to it and the keys would not activate the lock. Nothing happened. We were completely unable to gain entrance to this room.

Again I phoned the front desk and I told her the problem and I insisted that she come to us and fix the issue. We waited in the hot hallway for about 15 minutes while other guests walked by and looked at us unable to get in the room and it was very embarrassing. The lady finally arrived and tested the door herself and again seemed very amused.

She said that she had us a new room and just turned and walked away very quickly. She went to the other end of the hall and turned to a door and used the key to get inside and closed the door behind her and she was so far ahead of us I had no idea what room she went into.

After about 5 minutes she came out and said that she had inspected the room and it was ready for us to enjoy our stay. We went inside and the room seemed to be clean.

First thing I noticed is half of the lighting fixtures didn't work as did the wall sockets. The toilet paper dispenser was broken. There wasn't any shampoo in the shower. Not just an empty shampoo dispenser but no dispenser at all. There were 2 towels one hand towel and one wash cloth and 1 bath mat.

The worst thing of all was the water pressure in the entire room was basically non-existent. The shower head had seriously about 5 single streams of water that you had to continue to move under to get the job done. It took 45 minutes to take a shower.

I complained to the front desk and the employees had switched shifts by then and the gentleman on duty didn't even know that there was anyone in this room. It was already so late that we just decided to stay in the room and take care of it tomorrow with the GM.

The WiFi wouldn't work because of all the room changing the system had no idea we were there. The next day I complained to the front desk and I was told the GM wasn't going to be available today and that no other managers would be available either. I called corporate office and was told that all they could do was call the hotel and see if they could find a manager to help us and that never happened.

This is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed in EVER! And I have stayed in all kinds of different places ranging from 1 star to 4 star. I wouldn't recommend this place if you...

Booked a two night stay here check in 11/28/24 check out 12/1/24. First night no problem at all. Second day though me and my girlfriend go to the store after breakfast and return about 12 only to find out our door has malfunctioned and locked us out of our room. We were locked out for 5hours due to maintenance trying to get door open. We completely missed the whole reason for booking a hotel downtown in the first place due to our belongings being locked in our room for 5 hours. I will say after about 2 hours I went and asked could I at least be given another room to wait in while our room was still being worked on to open and they did provide that. Once our room was opened maintenance came and let us know we were good to grab our things. We grabbed our stuff and proceeded to carry out the rest of our stay in the new room. Upon checking out was never notified of anything out the ordinary with the previous room. And was assured I would be refunded for at least one nights stay but most likely both but the current front desk attendee didn’t have authorization in that moment and asked me to contact them next day. Upon calling next morning was told by assistant manager MASSIAM that they where going to be clearing a 250 smoking fee from the FIRST room stating there was a smell of weed and because they saw a pack of gars on a table when they went in my room after opening it for me which I don’t believe they should have went in until we got our stuff out any way but no weed anywhere no ash or tobacco just because they claimed they smelled weed and saw a pack of gars on a table. Me and my girlfriend never once smoked or brought weed in that hotel room the gars where from me clearing my pocket but again never brought weed and there was never any ashes or tobacco in the hotel. So pretty much what they did for having our stuff locked in a room and us locked out for 5 hours and us completely missing the whole reason we even booked the hotel in the first place was them clearing a false smoking fee. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody.

Side note it was a lady waiting before me when I was checking out talking to front desk about her husbands 1200 lv shoes being stolen by housekeeping out the room during a cleaning like I said would never...
