I got brave and went to the meat market to buy a good steak. After speaking to two meat market and asked for a tender steak. After speaking to two men behind the counter and a 15 minute long wait due to not speaking English and no help. experience for any of the 3 gents. I asked if they had a good steak that is tender. They were so kind and that is why I stuck it out. Bottom line the brought out a large piece of meat and said it was top sirloin. I was not able to know the difference of top sirloin and round steak. I saw round steaks and seven minute steak. So I got the "steak" and they charged $19.00 . I went away with heavy doubt because it did not seem right. Wanted to give the meat cutter a chance. He did not speak English and not any of them knew what I asked for. The only one who spoke English had no idea what to do or what to charge. I was so hot and the music was horrible. I wanted out of there. Anyway cooked it and it was nothing but a huge piece of a $20.00 price of grissle I could not even cut it much less eat it. I am so discouraged because of the time spent with people who work there had no idea what they are doing. One guy kept carrying it like a dead cat. Going back and forth to the meat cutter to ask what the cut was and again back to the meat cutter for pricing. I have a lot of experience in working for grocery stores and restaurants I just had to be nice because even though it was taking too long I gave all 3 of them a chance. I was surprised due to your advertising the certified beef a few weeks ago that is what I bargained for. After it was cooked I could not cut the steak. I cooked it med rare. My dog got a big bite of it because he grabbed it out of my hand. I would not be able to return it because the weight of the big slab of meat would not be the same weight. So next time I will not go for the Angus beef commercials. It was so sad. Can you please update the music? I love the beautiful bands of Los Pancho's Trio and other really cool sounds. Not only is the music is really disappointing and way too loud. I could not wait to leave. The cashier was sweet but no English. I tried the other cashier and she could not either. It was so hot in line I had to sit a few minutes. It kept getting hotter. I have to walk so it was pretty bad out. It was a sad day at Rio Grande at Peavy and Buckner around 3 to 4 pm. Please play some decent music. I would stay longer and shop more. Any way besides all of this at least I can...
Read moreThe address is Hillguard, but the front door and docks are on Chartwell, so it's better either to turn right onto Chartwell from Hillguard, or left onto Chartwell from Pagemill. It's a tight place on a narrow 2-lane, so brush up on your blind side backing skills. It can take varying amounts of time to get a door assignment, but once in, the unloading is...
