I wouldn’t be surprised if you guys haven’t had any negative feedback about “Amber”. I came in, also new to the Dallas area. She had the most nastiness demeanor, as if she was over it, and ready to lowball you. As a previous buyer, and seller I didn’t expect this experience. I attempted to pawn a few things, but because of her unwillingness to assist attitude we stopped at the first item. The item was a brand new drill unused/unopened from Amazon. When I worked as a shop manager for Cash America/ First cash, all we had to do was show that we purchased it from Amazon, however Amber said I needed a receipt. She knew exactly what she was doing lol, I terminated pawnbrokers for things like that in the past. Unacceptable behavior,! I wish you all couldn’t seen her face, it was like “I’m not lending you nothing, and I don’t care you showed me on Amazon, I still need a receipt. I feel bad about the people she’s done this to in the past. It makes me feel like the entire store operates like this. I caught the manager leaving that I spoke to earlier today. I ask, “Are you the manager I spoke to about the Polaroid camera”? She said “yes”, and kept on walking, as if she already knew what it looked like. A decent manager would have said, let me take a look at it, or “Hey Amber, I spoke with this gentleman earlier, and he’s wanting to pawn a camera. Nothing! Do better! Just sad and pathetic. If you don’t like your job, find another one, because employees like this will be the cause of negative business outcomes/results. I’m also going to file an internal...
Read moreI visited E.Z. Pawn on Royal Ln to sell some jewelry I no longer use. The little Latino lady was very rude. The first jewelry I gave her was a 14k thick gold ring. She supposedly inspected it, threw it on the counter and informed me it wasn't gold. I had purchased this ring at Service Merchandise many years ago. Second jewelry was an 18k gold baby bracelet. She looked at it, literally shoved it in my hand and offered me $243. I picked up a very negative vibe from her, and it was very distasteful to me. I left the store and went to Frisco Gold buyers, one of the best in the business. The ring that she stated wasn't gold was the first one to sell and the bracelet sold for more than twice the price. Although what she offered me for a 10.5g bracelet may not have been her fault but what the company offers, I believe I would have settled for a little bit more if I had received good customer service instead of driving way up to Frisco to get one. As a previous store owner, it's very hard for me to say I would not recommend this store because I only dealt with a rude employee, not the owner, but I would advise the owner that his/her employees need...
Read moreThis store rips off customers and has unethical practices. I went here and wanted to purchase a guitar, I asked if item had case and they said they could check on it. I asked if they would take a certain amount (less then 10% discount from dated tag) and they said yes. They came back with a case and said they if I paid more money I could have this matching case. So they had sold someone a guitar that this case was supposed to go with, but they didn't give them the case, lessening their value. And now they have this item in inventory which doesn't go to any item. Instead of providing a service to me a customer making a purchase they are charging me more for an item technically they have taken from someone else.
I brought this up and they made the comment, "this is the last time I look for a case for someone." So they did not even listen to me. Charged me extra, didn't give someone a case they should of, and then just make snide remarks about it. It's all not ethical. Did not like visiting this store with their...
