Prestonwood Hillcrest Apartments — Local services in Dallas

The absolutely worst apartment complex in Dallas. The Ac is constantly broken especially in the summer months when it over 100 degrees. Maintenance request are either ignored or denied. Dead animals are left on the property to rot in the sun without a care to management. Allow me to mention the AC being consistently broken as that is a big deal in Texas. The Manager Nancy is often combative, rude and negligent in her duties when it comes to issues and prone to outright lies and deceptions in the line of duty. The textbook definition of a slumlord. If you are looking for an expensive subpar apartment the will constantly disappoint and frustrate you this is the place. I would also like to mention the rodent and roach infestation that is an ongoing issue with no hopes of resolution.the grounds are not maintained, the is always garbage overflowing out of the dumpster ( maybe that’s the cause to the rodent and roach issue) people use grills on their patios which is a huge fire hazard without any concern to aforementioned management. The pool is randomly closed due to the whims of management for silly reasons that are beyond explanation. Even if the AC is working ( and I use that word liberally) it does not cool the space. If you are looking for a new place to live I implore you this is not the place for you unless you embrace a severe masochistic lifestyle come on down. People are moving out left and right and they have plenty of spots to lease. If that’s not enough the water is constantly turned off( a maintenance issue they claim) without logic or valid reasoning. When it’s actually on the water pressure is horrible. The shower has no pressure and fluctuates between burning hot and ice cold in water. You are unable to control it. Vents leak condensation at an alarming rate and is another issue ignored by management. The only good thing I have to say is it was a great place before new earth management company took it over about a year ago. That’s when the problems started. They installed a chiller system that is broken more than it works( hence the AC Issues) and does not cool when it operates.just another company squeezing increasing rents rates while ignoring the ever present problems on the property. My guess is this happens at all the new earth properties as this property can’t be an anomaly. They promise progress and improvement but it’s just lip service also known as deceit and deception. You are better off living in your car or a homeless shelter than renting an apartment here. After reading other reviews many share the same issues as I have shared so I’m confident that I am not alone concerning the subpar property known as the Prestonwood hillcrest apartment. I know many other horror stories from fellow tenants but not my place to share them but know they exist even if the don’t leave reviews. Just consider your self forewarned. One star is being generous, , but there is not a negative scale option

Part 2 AC still out consistently, always some lame excuse from management. If you complain and file a work order for your rat and roach infestation the management, I.e Nancy Martinez ( the slum lord of the property) will accuse you of its origins, not the horrible state of the property of the overflowing dumpsters. When you have contractors come in to do work you need the be there. I caught them snooping around my apartment in places they had no business being in, probably looking for something to steal, why else snoop? The also trashed the bathroom while they were here. They splattered nasty black ,god knows what everywhere without cleaning it up. The knocked Art off my wall and left it lying on the floor. The put dirty nasty equipment on my furniture. After reporting it to aforementioned Slum lord , no response. I’ll repeat that No response. It took them over a month to fix a leak in the bathroom from the vent in the ceiling I will reiterate.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE As you can see by the response to my review, and the countless issues, they only chose one to respond to and that is the most feeble,...

4 stars may be generous. I've lived here 1 year. Cons: NO central AC, the apt's run on a "cool-water system" which if you weren't an adult in the 60's won't mean anything to you. What it means: YOU don't have any control over the thermostat, even if there's one in the apt. GET Fans, and Window AC unit to survive hot months. Water is shared so while showering you will go from scalding to freezing about a dozen times during your shower. There are no ceiling fans or overhead lights in the apartment, so make sure you have standing lamps and desk lamps. They claim they spray for bugs and require you to remove ALL belongings from cabinets. I did it one time, and they NEVER came into my apartment. It's a HUGE hassle to remove everything, and then they never came!? I never emptied my cabinets again even though I got the notice 2x more through out my stay. Appliances are old and stove top works sometimes. Pros: Management is nice, and helpful. Trash is not a far walk. Laundry is not a far walk. Apartment carpet, and floors are clean. For the rent, I couldn't find a better apartment or location. I would recommend this apt as long as they knew what they were...

Estoy muy desepcionada del servicio de la gerente concidero q si trabajas con servicio al cliente es xq tienes pasiensia y educación pero lagerente de estos apartamentos es muy abusiva gritona y malcriada si no tiene paciencia no trabajes cm gerente y no es justo q x ser jovenes piense q nos puede tratar cm a sus hijos por ejemplo quisimos tener mascotas un perro de dos meses pequeñito y no nos dejo una de mis amigas vive aqui x la oficina y tiene un pitbull grande ella lo saca siempre y a ellos xq no les proible llamamos dos beses también xq el labamanos se tapaba y nos queria cobrar pienso q eso no se deve cobrar xq es si responsabilidad el buen mantenimiento de los apartamentos tube q llamar a otro ligar para a binieran arreglarlo cuando me entregaron mi apartamento las puertas tenian olloa y el laba trastos estaba susio con agua apestosa y tengo fotografias se lo enseñe y me dijo q borrara eso y no se lo enseñara a nadie quiso manipilularme mi recivo de luz nunca esta en la pierta sino tirado y le dijimos q nosotros pasaremos x el mejor para q no se lo lleve el biento y se molesto dijo q dejaramos de molestar y nos grito le doje q nos respetara q no nos gritara y nos trato muy feo y corto la llamada se me ase una falta de respeto y q no toene educación pero hablaremos con las autoridades xq ya es micho el abuso de esta señora a tambn una ves nos dijo q el resivo de luz ya lo abian puesto en la puerta yo estaba en el hospital dando a luz a mi hija fuimos a la oficina y tambien nos insulto y nos abia dicho q salieron 70 dolares q pagaramos eso y le dijo mi esposo q se lo mostrara xq nosotros teniamos dos meses de no estar en casa xq estabamos en casa de mi mama y se resistio asta q mi mama fue y como ella ya era mayor empeso a tartamudiar nos enseño el resivo de luz y solo eran 29 dolares con 30 centavos tengo fotos y gideos de esa ocacion tambien la verdad asta q esa señora no salga de la administración no recomiendo estos...
