TLDR - It's the best bagel I've ever eaten in my entire life. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean space. I'll be back.
First, I had heard about Starship quite a few times and really wanted to try it out but I live kinda far from Lewisville and Downtown, so I was excited to try out the new location. It did not disappoint. I was ordering for a volunteer group and the staff was helpful in helping me pick out bagels, getting the right amount of cream cheese, and just generally really easy going folks who take orders quickly and still offer personal service. Loved it.
Second, I wasn't skeptical the bagels would be good. I knew they'd be good, but I didn't know it would be apex level, best of my life good...but it was, in fact, apex level, best of my life good. Now all other bagels just pale in comparison. I particularly liked the salt bagels. I usually find bagels a little lacking on salt, and I thought these salt bagels were just tops.
Finally, I really love the design of the space. The faux-movie posters, the tile work, the colorful design. It was bright, airy, and a lot of fun. This place doesn't take itself too seriously...but they do take bagels very seriously.
It's just awesome. My volunteer group tore through the bagels like they were a college football team pouring out of the tunnel before a big game. Went from "Oh, I'll try one of these, I've heard of Starship..." to "Yeah, this is my third one and I'm thinking about eating another..." faster than, well, a Starship!
10/10 can't...
Read moreThis was my second time trying this place. The first time was amazing, service was great. This time around I had made a trip to get some breakfast. Didn’t expect to spend $17 for a bagel but I was ok with it because I remember how good it was. Got a millennial bagel with added lox and jalapeño spread. Got home and had no lox and regular spread no jalapeños. Was so disappointed. When I called to see if they could just refund the lox part because I had no time to go back. The service was so unprofessional. There was no “we are so sorry for the mistake, how can we make it right?” She was so just “oh ok, when, where and how much did you spend” then proceed with “ok it’s refunded” then just hangs up before I can say thank you. I get people make mistakes, but if you’re going to be selling $17 bagels then have a little more sympathy and professionalism with making things right for your customer. Definitely not worth the $17 dollars. Could have gone to chick fil A and gotten more food for that price and way better service! Pls train your employees to deal with that kind of...
Read moreI came here for the first time expecting a good experience but what I was met with was nothing short of a total disappointment. I walk in see the kiosk and go to order. Trying to order through Kiosk is usually great and fine. Clearly this place has zero organization or accountability for items. The Kiosk says they’re out of everything but the onion bagel. A one second look would tell you that is not the case, so the kiosk ordering is useless unless you only want an onion bagel. So I walk up to the counter to order. I see there is 3 cinnamon raisin bagels left. I try to order only 1 cinnamon raisin bagel. Unfortunately for some reason the machine or the worker let all 3 cinnamon raisin bagels fall on the floor. Therefore they were unusable, I don’t know what’s going on with this store. They’re dropping so many bagels on the floor they can’t even serve their customers. But I will gladly drive further now so my bagel isn’t dropped on the floor. I almost forgot. The worker didn’t even apologize for dropping the bagels on the floor, just made excuses. Completely...
