Here is my honest review. I graduated from Remington's Garland location in 2019. I went to school four days a week and attended evening classes as I work a full time job. I loved my instructors. They were eager to help and assist in any way possible and also offered sincere compassion for me and my life. That being said, I loved it. However, this school is Nationally accredited but not Regionally. What that means is, when you complete your degree and try to attend a 4 year University to in an attempt to finish, what you will find is that most universities do not accept most of your credits. I was accepted to DBU and they accepted 15 out of the 60 credits that I had earned. To compare, that's 1 semester out of 4. Texas A&M University at Commerce accepts most of them. They accepted 45/60 for me. With my tuition, I received books for my in person classes. I did not for the online classes. A few classmates and I went in and bought the books for everyone. My cap and gown were also included in that cost. As I've already stated, I loved my instructors. They really wanted to see us succeed in our chosen fields. I graduated after a year and a half with honors and two acceptance letters. I hope this review helps anyone that is considering going to...
Read moreAs for education, I did learn a lot! As for daily change and consistency this school is the worst! Teachers started leaving one after another and things went down hill from there! I was in the cosmetology program, after the teachers were down to one the director had become a permanent teacher which made her lack at her job! While in school they gave me a refund check then later came back and said they gave me to much after over 4 months of receiving it! The president Mr. Walls said to me if they gave it to me it was mines, then 2 days before the graduation ceremony recanted his statement and said if I didn't pay I couldn't walk! Then at the graduation ceremony they did not call my name for honors or dean's list when I stayed on dean's list the whole time while in school, and the director only told me she was sorry! Like that would excuse them skipping my name or even acknowledging me for my honors! I'm so feed up with place to top it off when we first graduated it took over 2 weeks for corporate to pay for our state board test, then after passing it took another 2 weeks and me calling corporate again for them to pay for my license! Do not go to this school go...
Read moreSo far it has been ...Great. The majority of the instructors are all heart into seeing their students succeed. As long as you remain in that motivation you had the FIRST day you decided to step up a level you will finish but most imporrantly giving this time around your 200% is worth the effort for that if you do not like where you stand today you have the power to change that. Its never to late even elderly people are there and inspirational with their storys of life. Pay attention...Read...Focus...But do not let go of that moment that MADE you say....I need to do something i cant live like this anymore because in Remington you get glorified for your hard work and dedication every month. And at the end you'll feel self accomplishment which nothing else can give you except yourself that then you can demand respect for that you earned...
