Golden Chick — Restaurant in Dallas

My first time ever having Golden Chick! I specifically waited for this location to open to see what it would taste like. The chicken was good, well seasoned but nothing mind blowing flavor wise. I really liked the mashed potatoes and white gravy. I think this is one of the few places that did white gravy justice cause a lot of places mess it up. Mac and cheese and good as well. Very cheesy I enjoyed it. But the best things I enjoyed was the wicked wings! Definitely had more flavor and is delicious. Will have to check back in a couple of months and see.

If this location produces food like this consistently, not just for their grand opening, then they will do very well. But only time will tell if the quality goes down or not. 7/21/25

8/21/25 4 weeks and the quality is already bad. Pretty bad experience this time. I added my receipt, ordered $40 worth of food and it was a total waste. I order two piece and specifically asked for leg and thigh. They gave us a breast and a wing. So they messed up that order. Then when I got my order I asked if the side salad was in there and the cashier said yes. Luckily I checked for the salad in my car and it wasn’t in there. When I walked back in she was laughing which I didn’t appreciate that you messed up and didn’t even apologize . Now onto the food, it was bad. The chicken gave my gf and child IBS. We got the wicked wings and usually I get extra seasonings which adds a nice bit of heat. Not this time. I actually got two different order of wings, one with extra seasoning and one with normal amount. Just eating the wings with normal seasoning it was super salty. So when I bit into the one with extra seasoning you can imagine how salty that was. I am not talking about a little salty, the normal seasoned one was really salty by itself. The jalapeño poppers were luke warm. The cheese in the middle wasn’t even melted. Then the side salad. It’s premade but the lettuce in it tasted off. Not that it was old, but it did have a weird taste on it. Then also got mashed potatoes, with a tiny scoop of gravy over it. Usually it would have a good amount so wi the little gravy the mashed potatoes became dry. So this is my last time...

This is my second time at this location. Waited to give a second chance before I gave a review. The first time I didn’t eat because I placed my order and get. To the window and after sitting there a few minutes they come and tell me they are out of dinner rolls. Which is one of the main reasons I go there. So I asked for a refund because I absolutely don’t want the food if there is no rolls. I go today ask for a 3 pc meal with xtra rolls…. We only have breast and wings. Although I like dark meat legs and thighs I go with what they have as long as I have a roll I should be good. Get to the window get my drink and it’s poring over the sides so Big Red is all over my dress and console of my car. Trying to get the ladies attention to get some napkins but she is talking and paying no attention until I blow my horn. For almost $15 my mashed potato portion was so small it should have been for a 2 year old, the chicken was very VERY old. Attached will be a pic to show it looked like chicken jerky I managed to eat the meat that was close to the bone on the wings the rest went to my dogs because it wasn’t chewable. 2 stars because my dog enjoyed this expensive meal that was valued in a dollar tree level. 2 times horrible service and food I won’t return and waste my hard earned money on food...

I'VE BEEN COMING HERE FROM THE TIME THIS LOCATION WAS OPENED. AND AFTER WHAT I WITNESSED TODAY,BECAUSE OF ONE YOUNG FEMALE I ONLY SEEN HER FOR THE FIRST TIME IM GOING TO CALL THIS PLACE NOT A RESTAURANT BUT A PLACE OF LOVE HER NAME IS KAMETRA. EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT CAME INTO THIS ESTABLISHMENT WHILE I WAS THERE WAS WELCOMED BY THIS YOUNG LOVER OF HUMAN BEINGS IN A WAY I HAVE NEVER WITNESSED FROM ANYONE ELSE INCLUDING ME I WORK AS A SERVICE PROVIDER TOO .BUT NEVER ANYTHING LIKE WHAT I SAW TODAY I DONT HAVE WORDS ENOUGH TO EXPRESS HOW THIS YOUNG LADY GREETED AND HANDLE EVERY SITUATION RATHER PLESANT OR UNPLEASANT. SHE IS TOTALLY PROFESSIONAL. THIS COMPANY SHOULD GO WITNESS HER IN ACTION AND PROMOTE HER TO COMPANY CUSTOMER LOVE CONCELLOR. THIS LADYS ATTITUDE AND ENERGY IS OFF THE CHART AFTER I FINISHED MY MEAL I JUST SET THERE FOR ANOTHER HOUR TO WATCH HER PERFORMANCE OF LOVE GREETING. BEFORE I LEFT I TOLD KAMETRA I WAS HER FAN .AND I WILL BE FOREVER. IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED SPECIAL BY A FASTFOOD LOVE PROFESSIONAL GO SAY HI TO KAMETRA AND WATCH HER MAKE YOU SMILE.
