One of the worst Marriott properties I have come across. The entire place is dirty and dilapidated. The shower head in my first room sprayed water EVERYWHERE including all the way to the mirror and up to the ceiling. You could tell they had left it that way for quite some time as the ceiling paint was wet and peeling down revealing mold-covered drywall underneath. Phone in first room also didn’t work so I had to walk down to the front desk for help changing rooms. My second room had no phone at all and was missing one TV. At this point I just wanted to sleep so I accepted the room. Over the course of my 2 night stay I discovered loose tile and crumbing grout, dirty, stained couches, and holes in the walls. The room locks are all still outdated with the kind you need to insert the card into, so I was also locked out of my room on more than one occasion when the keycard stopped working. The breakfast was surprisingly good compared to other Fairfield properties I have stayed at but the dining area is totally falling apart and is in desperate need of repair. Honestly, I don’t understand at all how management here or Marriott itself has let the carpets and furniture get THIS bad. I will say I inspected both my rooms for bed bugs upon arrival and did find them to be very clean in that regard. Apryl at the front desk was also an absolute joy and handled all of my issues with empathy and professionalism. If it wasn’t for her, I probably would have left my first night and found somewhere else to stay. Maybe my car.

Let me be clear about the Two beautiful women that helped me while staying here. The two front desk women that work the morning shift and the late night shift were amazing!!! This review has nothing to do with them. Giving my opinion on the stay is irrelevant because of those 2 women. I stayed at this hotel (photos attached) July 31,2024- August 5, 2024. Even though I checked out before 1am on August 5th well before the checkout time of 12pm I was charged for an additional day. (Cameras don’t lie). I have spoken to management and the app about this issue and they claimed to had have fixed the problem and have issued a refund. It is now Aug. 22nd 2024 and I have yet to receive a refund. I have been getting the run around about the refund for weeks now. I was told a couple days then a week and then today I was told it can take 30days. I booked my stay through the Marriot Bonvoy App not through a third party. And even the app is telling me I have to go through the hotel to get my refund. I am not trying to be that customer but when you are over charged because of a mistake on the company. There is no reason I should be getting attitude from management and the customer service from the app over money that is owed to me. If you stay here make sure you are well aware of what you’re being charged. Again to the 2 ladies that took care of me during my stay thank you again! As for the company I know me not staying again isn’t gonna effect business but this situation has said a lot about how you all do business.

This place has gotten better in several ways… the location and price are stellar, the breakfast buffet is better than I recall and has a greater selection than before… Not to mention it’s definitely better than most hotels around Dallas and I know my hotels around Dallas quite well… The management seems happier. The rooms are the same, of course and the breakfast again a lot classier Then I recall, especially seeing as it is a free breakfast included in the price… I know some hotels charge $15-$20 for the Texas waffle just on a stone plate…. That’s the only thing I can see different… I believe my presentation is worth more than again $15-$20 for the SAME WAFFLE and the rooms cost $240-760 a night in said Extreme priced waffles, hotels…. The hotel staff seem friendly enough… The elevator is small yet it faster than most…

My experience was not so good, I made an online reservation for 5/20-5-21. I checked in before 9pm, I stayed on the 3rd floor. I immediately noticed carpet and the walls were dirty, once I got in my room I noticed the tv didn’t work. I went down stairs and informed the lady and she apologized and said she could move me to a new room. I told her “If you’re unable to find me a room I just want a refund” she informed me that she never charged my card cause it declined. I showed her the funds had been taken out of my account. She automatically cancels my room instead of seeing if she had new one to move me to. I informed her I wanted her to check and see if another room was available, she apologized and started searching. I guess she made a new reservation for me and added an extra day, once she’s done we go up to a room and she opens the door and it’s king bed instead of 2queens. We go back down stairs and she finds me a new room with 2queen beds. Once we got to the new room that tv didn’t work, by this time I’m just like I will have to do without a TV I’m only here for one night. Come 5/21 me and my family checks out before 11AM, it was a man and women at the front desk… the man asked were we checking out and we said yes and took the room key from us. I’m thinking he is going to check the room out and email us our receipt. Come Friday 5/24 I noticed I had charge for over $200, I immediately called and a guy answered the phone I was telling him the situation and he responds “he just got back from vacation and I would have to speak with the front desk supervisor and she would be in after 8AM” I’m like okay I will call back.. I call back around 8:15 AM and spoke with the front desk supervisor she looked up my information and said she couldn’t refund me cause I made a reservation for 2nights. I’m telling her over and over that we left the keys with a guy and girl and she told me she was the girl but she still couldn’t refund me. She basically wanted me to show her proof that I checked out, I asked multiple times “you can’t check your cameras and see that me and my family left around 11” she kept going around that question, so informed her this wasn’t fair she then proceeds to say “I’m hanging up on you, I’m not going to let you disrespect me” I’m like ma’am no one is cussing at you or being disrespectful to you. “Click” my husband calls back up there and she’s trying to tell him the same thing, she transferred a the phone to a guy and he was asking for proof of us checking out, and my husband is asking him to roll back the cameras. He finally told us he was going to refund us and he said going forward we need to make sure the front desk representative check us out. I wouldn’t recommend anyone...

Pros: -Free sweing kit upon request -Indoor pool

The room we stayed it looked dated. The bathroom was small, the tub was the smallest one I had ever seen. I felt very cramped in there, one wrong move and I felt like I would fall right out. The beds in our room were squeaky and looked very old. I felt like I was sleeping on a pile of springs by how the sunk down as soon as we touched them.

The blankets on the beds didn't match, one bed had a plush comforter and the other had a hospital blanket.

The room had a small chair which was broken and all the tabletops were sticky. Like they had been wiped with a dirty rag.

The trashcans didn't have bags. I called the front desk, they said they didn't use bags. I found that quite strange. Especially since they told my friend in the other room that they ran out of bags a little later.

The worst came after we took a dip in the pool. We asked the front desk for 3 extra towels, since we used the 3 from the room at the pool, they gentleman at the front desk said they are out of towels and gave us a bath rug to use as a towel. I asked him when they will have more available, to which he said "I'm doing laundry right now" in a jokingly manner. After about 40 mins, we came back and asked for more towels, he said "he leaves in 30 mins." We went back to our room and dried ourselves off from showering with our chlorine pool towels. IT WAS AWFUL.

The extra towels never showed up.

After spending a night on the springs bed, we went downstairs for breakfast. They had a hot breakfast, which none of us could eat since it tasted so bad. I can't say what brand eggs, sausage, and waffle mix they used but I can say it was the worst we have ever had at a hotel. It tasted really bland, frozen, and old. So I had a bagel.

This stay was supposed to be relaxing, instead it turned to a stressful evening. I do not...
