Would give this place 0 stars if I could. Worst customer service ever.

I have bought multiple carpets from this place before, so I took my brother since he bought a new house and he was furnishing. Browsed around the place as usual and ended up liking couple of carpets. Before my brother was going to pull the trigger, told him let's go to another carpet place, which is in the same parking lot (Store initials SR&M). There were some selections he liked at the second place too, so finally went back to Rugs Mart to finalize and purchase the carpet.

When we came back to the store, the owner started giving us an attitude as if his ego was crushed just because we went to the other store. My brother asked him if he can bring down the carpet that he liked, which he did. During this time I ended up liking a carpet as well and asked him if he can bring one down for me. He said his store policy is to have only two carpets on the floor. So I waited until my brother was done dealing with him. Finally I asked him if he can bring down the carpet, and following was the dialogue exchange.

Store owner: No Me: I would like to see how it looks in the light before I purchase it Store owner: Not going to bring it down Me: I am the customer here and that is pretty rude Store owner: I don't care, it's too much work pulling those carpets down Me: Well you are very disrespectful and lazy Store owner: I am not going to sell it to you and I don't care Brother: I am not buying from here anymore, let's go left the store Me: Going to spread the word about your place left the store

Ended up going to the other store (SR&M) and bought two carpets. They have a much wider selection and prices are half of Rugs Mart with equal or better quality. Their customer service skills were exceptional, unlike Rugs Mart. Not going to ill wish the owner, but he's the only one who lost from this ordeal. Everyone else...

We bought two rugs on a great price. We originally just went to look around and ended up buying two bc of the prices and quality. He even let me take the rug that I wasn't so sure and try it at home without any problem and next day I went to exchange. I got a new foot rug as well with a discount. He also gave us discounts on both big rugs. He helped us to fit those two big rugs in my tiny car. The owner is a great guy. I am going there again to buy three more things form them and recommending others as well....
