Beware- when buying from this retailer. You never know if he is selling you stolen goods. To be clear - I along with wholesale diamond and jewelry companies who have sent out jewelry pieces and/or diamonds to this retailer has never been paid. Borrowing something with no intention to return or pay back is theft and on top of that no communication and when told that his conman behavior will be reported he told me shame on me and that I will figure it out and it hurts us financially and is upsetting. Especially for a young person like me who are not backed by loans or investments, who are in the business for the love of it, it leaves us changed. While the financial loss eventually we can recover from, it is the lack of integrity as a person and business owner that will leave us questioning everyone else we may work with. He’ll sell you goods that are not his and pocket the money and I’d hate to buy a beloved jewel from a person of this character.
Please do your research and go to a well loved and respected jeweler of your community as they spend years building their reputation and it’s telling of their business philosophy.
Thank you...
Read moreDana Point Jewelers is the epitome of old fashion customer service. I had to replace a link pin in my Seiko watch and decided to bring it to them remembering how highly my mom has spoke of the place over the last number of years. When I brought it in I was helped by the most helpful nicest person I could ask for (I believe his name is Garrin). He fixed my watch and would not let me pay him for it claiming that it costs him next to nothing and was just happy to be of service. When I finally tried to give him a $20 for a tip he took the money, searched through a box of jewelry, picked out a way cool bracelet to give to my fiance, and put both the bracelet and the $20 in a fancy little bag and told me that it was on the house. Now don't expect everybody to get free stuff but I think it's just the kind of guy/place they are. He then told me to bring back my fiance with her engagement ring and he would clean it up for us! What a place! I will be sure to visit them again! Thank you Dana...
Read moreMy fiancé and I shopped around the big chain jewelry stores for several weeks. We saw a lot of nice rings, but none of them were quite what we were looking for, and the salespeople seemed far more concerned about making a sale, rather than quality and customer satisfaction. We found Dana Point Jewelers while browsing on Yelp and figured we'd give it a try. We met the owner, Garen, and he was immensely helpful. We showed him a couple pictures of rings that I liked, and he seemed to know exactly what I wanted. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his craft, and he takes great pride in all of his pieces. My ring turned out perfect, and I couldn't be happier with it. He was able to create the perfect ring with just a couple pictures and ideas. We were beyond impressed and plan on buying our wedding bands from Garen as well! Garen is less of a salesman and more of an artist, and we have had nothing but great...
