Really poor food quality - a few items were microwaved and partially cold. They were out of fresh items. To make it worse, the server was having an off day but what was totally appalling and unacceptable was the manager Susanna was so unprofessional, confrontational, aggressive, unwilling to listen, and NOT customer driven: not only did she do nothing to make it a pleasant experience, she deflated and disparaged her poor server, yelled at him in front of us, refused to make up for it - she charged us for food we didn’t eat or get in time, argued loudly about our experience of food not being edible, created a scene like someone on a trashy tv show, and worst of all swiped our credit card on a fraudulent bill which she made up on her own. Terrible awful experience and what a fraud!!! FIRE her immediately, she’s incapable of looking after her own staff, shames them, and really disrespectful to customers!!!!!!?? She shouldn’t be allowed near her own staff members and definitely shouldn’t be around customers. She’s meant to be serving. Why would you be so unkind and unhelpful? Why would you treat paying customers and your own staff so poorly? The manner in which she conducted herself was unprofessional and unacceptable. Loved everything about this place from the great atmosphere, tons of cool movie posters hung absolutely everywhere the old school leather booths and diner style, it made me feel like I was in a movie myself great to take your family, friends, or a date. The service was amazing everyone was kind and seemed to genuinely care about you, I didn't catch her name but the lady that took mine and my dates order was amazing she was quick but didn't seem like she was rushed and was kind. The food was over the top amazing it felt like I had an out of body experience, I got the bacon burger and asked for a fried egg to be added to it as well as a slice of apple pie with ice cream. Genuinely the best bacon burger I've ever had in California by far and it's been my mission to have the same first meal I get at every new restaurant I go to and this one completely knocked every single burger off the table the burger size was perfect the bacon, onions, lettuce, cheese, pickles and tomato sent me to heaven, the egg was the perfect bonus I needed. I can't even describe how delicious the apple pie with ice cream was I'm typically not a huge fan of apple pie but it just completely rearranged my taste buds. please if you're looking for a great place to stop for food after an amazing day at the beach make sure this is the first place you go to the only thing I wished I could've had after that amazing meal...

A group of 7 of us came for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. No one had been here before. Our leader chose the place based on reviews, but we were not sure what to expect. It was not really fancy inside, but we enjoyed looking at the numerous vintage movie posters that decorated the walls. Since we were later, the place was pretty empty. The service was a little slow, but this may have been due to reduced staff after the lunch rush and our larger group. The waitress was very attentive and helpful as we made our meal selections. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were large. Two people could have shared one meal if they weren't heavy eaters. I got the roast beef, Ortega, and cheese sandwich. I took half home for my husband. It came with a choice of one side. My sister and I shared our sides. I got the salad, which was a huge dinner size, and my sister got the onion rings, which were large and plentiful. Everyone seemed more than satisfied with their meal, and there were many leftover boxes taken home. We asked for separate checks, but they have a limit of 3 checks per table, so we had to do a little math on our own. We had a very pleasant lunch with good food and good friends.
