Greenfield has been my internet provider for a few years now, they bought a contract within my community that we are now stuck with. I have NEVER had a good experience with customer service and have actually had to ask their employees to leave my property before. They’ve woven their cables through my ladders in the garage as well. Their last visit to my home was today, they were supposed to come and set up internet at my new address. As I was walking down my hallway to greet him and say hello, he interrupted me right away with “we have a problem”, he never introduced himself. I waited nearly 2 weeks for this appointment struggling to keep distance learning going in the meantime for my children. He said that the vault he needed to access was covered by dirt due to the construction in my neighborhood. That greenfield tried calling me to inform me of the problem and tried to work with the sup on the job site, but there was nothing they could do. I asked how this was going to be resolved, said I needed service ASAP for distance learning and expressed how disappointed I was in their customer service - as I was NEVER called about a problem as he had stated. He said he “didn’t have to take this” got in his truck and drove away. The sup for the construction was directly across the street, I walked across and he showed me a totally accessible vault and indicated that greenfield had never called them about the problem. He also told me if greenfield had worked in reverse as he’s seen them do previously they would’ve been able to access/find the vault if needed. There was no attempt to resolve the problem, he seemed irritated when I asked him to verify my phone number with the office since I never received a call notifying me of the problem, there was no apology for the inconvenience. I guess greenfield doesn’t care about customer service, or having customers at all. I couldn’t believe it when he just left, few companies care any more and greenfield definitely isn’t one of them. I called AT&T - my only other option and we shall see how that goes. I guess when a community doesn’t have options that’s how you stay in business. Convince rural communities into...
Read moreGreenfield Communications provided internet service to my subdivision/community until about 3 months ago, when our HOA contracted with a new provider. I paid extra (~$50/month) for two lines of VOIP service with Greenfield and had this set up on automatic payment. Greenfield sent us a letter early this year stating that we would no longer be able to receive VOIP with them and that we would need to change phone providers, with instructions that we should port our numbers to a new phone provider. I called another provider (Spectrum) and tried to port my numbers, but Spectrum couldn’t do the port, so I just got new phone numbers with Spectrum. I discovered this week that I have still been billed by Greenfield (and auto-paid them) for the last 3 months, even though they do provide me with VOIP service. I have contacted them twice, both lower level customer service providers were unhelpful and the first one was combative with me. I was transferred on my second call to their Billing Manager, Emily, who was likewise extremely unhelpful. They will not refund a cent of my money! They state that I have been paying them to hold my numbers until/when I port them and that I was supposed to call them to cancel my service (when, in fact, they sent me a letter stating that they were canceling my service). I asked her if she would be willing to meet me halfway or refund even a partial amount of my money (as I clearly wasn’t receiving $50/month of service from them, and “holding my numbers” clearly does not cost them $50/month). She flatly refused. When I asked her, as nicely as I could, if this is the standard level of customer service they provide, she didn’t really answer.
Here’s my recommmendation, if you are a HOA, home owner yourself, or business looking for a ISP, do not under any circumstance use Greenfield!
Just in glancing at other reviews, I see that the poor customer service I received is SOP for them. Don’t use this company!
Greenfield, you now have an ill-gotten $150 from me. I hope this review, and the many others like it, cost you orders of magnitude that amount in...

Came back to provide an update, never have I ever experienced such disrespect from people who are supposed to be in customer service, we unfortunately have our communities internet box in our back yard and due to extremely personal reasons I don’t feel comfortable having random people I don’t know on my property without my fiance present which I explained to the guys who came knocking on my door, only to be met with hostility and harassment trying to force me to allow people to enter my property even after I voiced my uncomfortably about it, they finally agreed to leave and to come back later when my fiance was home…then I get a phone call from them thinking they are calling my fiance and again tried to pressure me into letting them on my property to hook up my neighbors internet. If it wasn’t required to use them through my community I would...
