Im a Pizza Head. Happen to be a Level 8 Local Guide or whatever that means. I've tried every pizza in Dana Point and I have to say that this tops em all. The ingredients are higher quality. Pepperoni is delish. There is a better balance of flavors here over any other local spot. There isnt a sharp edge or a bitter off-note anywhere in this pie. Impressive.
It's funny, this is not necessarily my favorite style, having a relatively bready crust, but here I can really taste the whole wheat in the crust and so the pizza takes on a whole artisan vibe. Santa Barbara has a chain that is similar to this, called Woodstocks. That local legend is a UCSB institution. This is as good as Woodstocks, 110%. The mozz is good quality. Herbs can be tasted, but not too much. A large will actually feed 3 to 4. I really like this and wish I didnt waste money everywhere else... but at least I now just how good it is.
Now for the Vibe. This is a place where you can "Bring the kids for a pizza party in Dana Point", large open floorplan concept with wrap around Counter service. Despite being the last customer of the night, John was an absolute sweetheart to me, striking up a conversation that he genuinely was open to. Am I seeing this clearly? Had to do a double take. I cant remember the last time a pizzeria owner or manager wasn't just dismissive and busy. I definitely appreciated that gesture... because I do live around the corner, and will be back... will recommend it... will order delivery...will see them again and do look forward to my next spec, try out the thin crust and the deep dish.
I hope the positive vibes they spread throughout my new home town continue to be acknowledged by locals and I wish that the thousands of new transplants ready to move into the swanky complexes being built on Del Prado read this glowing review and trust that this is low key dank pizza... quality and love in every slice. Listen to the guide... Call...

The pizza? Absolutely top-notch. Perfectly crispy crust, generous toppings, and just the right balance of cheese and sauce. Every slice is packed with flavor, and the variety on the menu ensures there’s something for everyone. Beyond pizza, their appetizers and entrees are equally impressive—fresh ingredients, great portions, and a level of care that makes each dish memorable.
Service here is fantastic. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make your experience enjoyable. Even on busy nights, they handle things with efficiency and warmth.
And let’s not forget one of the best parts—the Ice Cold Schooners of Coors Light. Nothing pairs better with a great slice than a perfectly chilled schooner of beer, keeping the vibe refreshing and the conversation flowing.
Bonus points for the location—right in Dana Point, making it an ideal spot to grab a bite after a day by the water. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Stuft Pizza is a must-visit. Highly...
Read moreHorrible! Hate it! I called Beach Cities Pizza to order a pizza that I always order, small Doheney for $25.00. Comes with six very small pieces. Three of us each took a piece (half of the small pizza) and started eating it. It was incredibly spicy hot. We tried eating it but it seemed hotter with each bite. Our tongues were on fire. After three bites, we just could not eat it and threw our slices in the garbage. When I called Beach Cities to complain, the girl that answered said they were Stuft Pizza. I was surprised, they didn't say that before. She said she would replace with a different pizza just give her the remainder of the pizza we had. I said okay. Then the manager calls and was very rude with me saying they could do nothing because we did not have the whole pizza and why should they do anything just because we didn't like the pizza. I told him that for years we love the pizza, but something is wrong with THIS pizza, it is not the same. He yelled and argued. Finally he said he would refund $10. I said fine. And he hung up on me. This guy did not give me his name when he called, but I think his company needs to have a talk with this guy. As for me, I will NEVER ever buy anything from them again, least of a $25...
