Dunham's Sports — Local services in Danville

This afternoon my wife & I visited Dunham's in Danville, VA.

She was looking for a specific product. She found what she was looking for on a rack where everything was marked 40% off...there were several jackets of the same design hanging on the rack. She was pleased and placed it in the cart. We continued shopping and placed several other items in our cart. When we went to check out, the discounted item rang up at normal price. We challenged it. The clerk called for assistance. He was told that the 40% off did not apply to that item. I took a picture a showing a sign that clearly indicated everything on the rack was 40% off. He said "I cannot sell it to you at that price." I asked, "So you are not going to honor the price?" He said "No." We did not create a scene...but told him that we were not interested in the other items either. We left them on the counter and walked out of the store..

So today we were at Dunham's to purchase a scope for my husband's gun. There was one guy running the counter who told us where the scopes were and continued to help the individual he was with which was all fine and dandy. We looked at the scopes and another man came up and said I will be right with you which was great because we had found what we wanted and had a few questions well we waited about 20 mins and finally the original guy got done and came to help. He didnt seem interested in answering anything and kept giving us simple answers that we could have gave ourselves. Turns out the scope we were to purchase needed pins so we go 2 aisles over and get them and come straight back to no employees at all. So we along with about 6 other people stand there waiting for another 10 mins. A lady comes by and another man asks if she works back there and she said no I dont work back here and the guy that does is selling a gun so he doesnt have time to help everyone. Once we heard this we walked right out and didnt purchase. We came home and bought online. I guess the only money that matters is people that...

What can I say about this place this place here is the most exciting place it was MSU homecoming matter fact it was a lot of people's home, and I was looking for those bleacher Stadium chairs man when I walked in there almost wanted to buy everything in the store you know for a guy and a sports store or auto parts store is like for a woman is going to belts or Marshalls they almost got on my money but they had everything in there for any type of sport nights of two was not cheap stuff nice long lasting stuff staff was friendly and helpful and it was an incredible place it was my first time visiting this place and I'm glad it was a great experience I'll always remember this place it has so much great potential to bring life back to the city and should be there forever everybody should stop in there to show him your business that's what my...
