My husband returned the tux from our son’s wedding at the UPS Store in the Goodwives shopping center in Darien, CT. on Monday, September 23rd, 2024. He mistakenly returned the cufflinks inside the package, not realizing they were separately purchased by our son for his father. Realizing his mistake he went back to UPS within minutes with receipt in hand. He even brought a roll of tape to reseal the bag. However, the store manager refused to look for the package, despite it being dropped off only just a little while earlier. The store was not busy and guys that work there seemed eager to help, but the manager refused, citing that there were “too many packages to look through”…and she had a nasty attitude on top of it. This is a neighborhood store that I have used weekly… sometimes daily….for YEARS. My husband would have understood, had she said that they weren’t allowed to open packages once they were in their possession… but to flat out refuse to look for something that had been there just a short while, is inexcusable, as was her rotten attitude. Fortunately, the tux service was very understanding, and offered to flag the shipment and return the cufflinks. What disgusting customer service! I hope the owner reads this so he knows what an awful employee he has representing his business. NOTE: I will not disparage the entire store, as the guys and other gals who usually work the desk here are ALWAYS helpful, patient, and pleasant (which cannot be easy in this town), but the (blonde) manager(?)… not so much. I hope she’s worth the loss...

I was having difficulty with another UPS store in SC charging me $$$$$ for the delivery of a package that had been dropped off at their store. In addition to them rarely answering their phone they also refused to explain the price they had quoted me even though I had the dimensions and weight of the package and knew I was being overcharged. After several attempts to resolve the situation myself I went into the Darien store to ask for advice. Marcos, the owner of the Darien UPS store was extremely helpful and offered to help me dealing with the SC store. Ultimately, he called the other UPS store several times for me and got the package delivered safely for half the originally quoted price. Marcos then also helped me load it into my car: it was heavy!!! Exemplary customer service! Thank you, Marcos, I could not have got this delivered...

Before I begin my rant, my first thought; however, is why don’t you have your last name made public? If you feel the need to leave such a review, have the nerve to make your entire name public. I take such offense to you, Miss B, to suggest that someone, anyone from this store would steal. Where is your proof that they have stolen either from you or from other customers? Unless you have proof of this happening, how dare you put this in writing, in a Google Review no less. Do you have proof that Marc or one of his staff stole from you? I think not!!
