Old Kings Market — Restaurant in Darien

A charming shopping center just off the beaten path in Darien with a lovely catering shop, (yummy desserts) lots of little boutiques, a drive-thru People's Bank with a drive-thru ATM, as well, several restaurants ( we love Tengda especially for take-out), a mailbox, UPS store, Stop and Shop, a day spa, and lots more. It also hosts a farmer's market every Wednesday usually from 11 to 3 from May to November. I've been shopping there for 60 years as I grew up in Darien so I am slightly biased. The historic starting point of the 1979 cannonball run, Brock Yates gathered together a world class group of scofflaws to embark on a rather high speed tour of the usa, culminating at the portofino Inn Redondo Beach. There is a plaque now dedicated to this outside the liquor shop.
