The bathroom, where do I start! Toilet paper on the floor, the first stall had toilet paper in it, and the one I used? At first I was impressed that it had a sink in it, so I didn't have to use the ones just as you come into the restroom. I look to my left and Problem: the toilet seat was covered in urine!! It's a good thing that I didn't have to go really badly, so I just held on and tried to clean the toilet seat off. Problem: the toilet paper wouldn't come out of the roller! I had to roll that thing around and around until it finally started coming off the roll. So, two toilet seat covers and using a large wad of toilet paper later, the seat is finally dry. Problem: the water pressure isn't strong enough! I had to flush twice to get the paper down, smh. I finally get to use the toilet, flush and attempt to wash my hands and Problem: no soap! Ugh!! So I go out to the front, wash and dry my hands and meet my husband as he's about to pay for his soda. He asks me what I want, and I said, "Hand sanitizer." He said they didn't have any, so I told the attendant that the ladies restroom needed attention and she said that she was alone, except for a security guard who I thought was blind at first. We paid for our items and just left. This was one of the most disgusting bathrooms I have...
Read moreMy first time at the Darien rest stop, but I will say for this location the same as the others: immaculately clean and fresh. The restroom was spotless and there was no unpleasant scent. The soap was stocked and there was someone cleaning the walls, floors and keeping everything clean. Parking is convenient and safe, there were food options, although I did not choose to eat. The food court was moving the guests through the lines well and people were good about wearing masks unless they were actually eating. I needed to buy gasoline, and there are plenty of pumps. I did have to wait a few moments for a driver ahead of me to fill his truck, but people were in and out. It was faster than the neighborhood gas stations in my home area. The gas station was just as clean as the other areas and there was a worker checking and emptying trash containers. The staff throughout the plaza should be praised. They take pride in their work and it shows in how clean and pleasant the plaza is. I had a five and a half hour drive, and it was a welcomed stop. Just to feel safe, to use clean facilities, and every worker I passed, no matter how busy, still took the time to say "hello" or "have a nice day" to the guests passing through. I truly appreciate...
Read moreWhoever works the 5:30 shift at Dunkin. You have very disappointed children on the bus Going back home now. Out of the three orders, one of which contained of a Matcha latte two wake up wraps and munchkins, the second order oat milk, frozen colada, coffee, and bagel bites, last but not least doughnut bagel bites, and hot chocolate. The first ones Matcha latte was not mixed… at all, and was told the ovens didn’t work, so I had to get a refund for the wake up wraps. The second order was told the same thing along with that was told the Culotta cannot be made with oat milk even though the option was on the kiosk and other Dunkins offer it and make it. so had to get a refund in cash for the bagel bites. Third order got all of which was ordered because the other employee took over. Came off as very rude. Flys on food. Overall horrible experience. On the other hand, panda express employees were amazing. Food was perfect shout out to you guys! Everything else was pretty fine. Everything was pretty clean. Everyone else was quite nice. The only other side to side was the questionable writing on the bathroom stall....
