On June 24, 2025 I purchased 12 outdoor chairs at Target in Dartmouth, MA. I had just had surgery and wasn't allowed to lift anything and was not planning to make a purchase like that. I asked for assistance getting the chairs onto a cart and out to the parking lot to my friend's pick up truck. Within minutes Martin was there with a cart to assist. Not only did Martin, quickly and efficiently get all the outdoor chairs onto the cart, he throughly explained to me the proper process for getting the outdoor chairs into my friend's truck upon his arrival. Martin was friendly, professional and attentive. It was a very hot day and I could tell that he had already been paged to assist other customers while we waited but he remained engaged with a positive attitude despite the challenges he was facing. He insisted on helping load the chairs into the truck and overall just went above and beyond. I was not surprised to find out that he was one of the first employees hired when Target in Dartmouth, MA opened over 20 years ago and has been part of the team since. While finding effective customer service assistance in retail stores is typically a challenge for me, experiencing Martin's commitment to ensuring a positive experience for his customers...
Read moreToday, I'm a little upset. Target it one of the main stores my family and I shop at. Its easy to get deals on the stuff we need in our household. Me as myself, I am a very particular person when it comes to order and consistency. Today, we walked in and the self check-out had been made into a 10 Items or less check-out. Admittedly, I can understand why an expess would be needed. However, as someone who likes to bag things exactly as I prefer, this was disheartening because part of my comfort experience as a very anxious person, is having control over my check-out experience, bagging, and not having to have one on one socialization with a person at checkout. I personally can make due, but it made me think of others that have a harder time with mental disabilities and the process of particularity, order and social interaction. This is a concern for me due to accessibility for others. Today, a very nice young person allowed me to take a stack of bags and bag for myself, but not everyone would be so understanding. Target might no longer be my first choice without the freedom for my own comfort but also...
Read moreIf I could give this location zero stars I would. The customer service at the north Dartmouth, MA is horrible. It doesn't matter the time of the year, the day or the time of day. The store is always a mess, if you need to do a return there is never anyone at the service desk. You wait and wait until you have to go find someone to find someone else. Today 8 of us waited for over 10 minutes for anyone to even ask if we needed help. He couldn't find anyone to run the desk. Finally they contacted someone. I needed a gift card and could only wait in a line with a cashier. All 4 lines were nearly halfway down the store. When I finally got to 3rd in line I was told sorry the cashier couldn't take me because she was closed. I told the cashier I was only buying a gift card and she told me I needed to go into another line to purchase. I was not going to go to the back of another line to wait more. I bought a gift card at one of their competitors instead. The other customers in the return line were also complaining how horrible this particular store is. I will take my money and...
