GameStop — Local services in Davenport

Update February 2022: This is an update to my first review of this GameStop store back in 2021. Like before, this store has certainly degraded over the past few years. I haven't been going to GameStop as often as I should, purely due to their poor selection of games. When I try to go to GameStop and try to purchase a game, half of the time they do not have it. Even though they have the cover sitting on the shelf, they do not have the disc. The experience is also horrible when it comes to newer games. Whenever I try calling GameStop to see if they have new games, like Pokemon Legends Arceus, Horizon Forbidden West, and more, every single employee says the exact same thing. "Unless you pre-ordered the game, we don't have any other copies". I learned the hard way, not to pre-order a game because I bought Marvel's Avengers, Mario Golf for the Switch, and many more games that turned out to be terrible. Sure, the employees are also nice and understanding about this, but it does not excuse them from me calling and not having the game time and time again, especially new releases. Overall, this store makes me want to shop for games somewhere else and I miss when this place...

Look, so by this point most people already have reservations about the company GameStop. But I'm not here to write a book, so here's my standard review, just know i recommend against GameStop if you have an alternate option. Pros: -I did meet two nice employees -Variety -Quick service Cons: -One of those two employees still upsold -A third employee was standard GameStop trash -Prices I always recommend going to the local old school game stores instead and the one around here i believe is Disc Replay (which was okay, but...

Terrible experience. Personal preference I get it but the guy wouldn’t stop talking to the customer I front of me. Took FOREVER to check him out. Buying a preowned system for his kid and the guy said more than 4 times about getting dinner and it’s been a long day. Kept going back to warranty. Wear the guy out. Finally it’s my turn. Want to buy MK11. And he ID’s me. I didn’t have it on me. Had a car issue today. But Please. I’m 47 and look 42. Refused. Told me “he likes his job”. Let me walk....
