I refuse to stay silent about this injustice! Let the owner speak for themselves—I’ll let their own words condemn them. They dare to assign prices to RAW cards based solely on their misguided idea of potential graded value, completely ignoring the actual MARKET. They intentionally avoid the risk and uncertainty of grading, yet confidently claim they’ll sell you any card based on their flawed “idea” of what it might be worth.
This isn’t just about a transaction—it’s about betrayal! To a loyal, three-year customer, they admitted with cold honesty that they were actively upcharging—taking advantage of trust and ignorance for profit.
FROM THE OWNER "We are also aware that you come in look for the most perfectly centered cards to send them to get graded and get a 10 so you can make money on it.(GOD FORBID, LIKE ITS THIER BUSINESS WHAT ANYONE DOES POST-PURCHASE) A part you conveniently forgot to mention. You also conveniently forgot to mention that all the cards you picked we priced out at $5 to $10 per card but in a 10 they go for $80+."
Let me be clear: NOTHING about their pricing is grounded in reality. There is NO genuine MARKET price—their logic is ABSURD. When confronted, their reasoning becomes even more mind-numbing, revealing a reckless disregard for honesty and fairness.
I used to donate in massive amounts without a second thought, just to helping others. But then I hear—I hear from so many people—that they’re UPCHARGING for MY FREE BULK?! Are you kidding me?! Is this real life?! I carefully put in items that aren’t “Bulk,” just stuff I don’t need or won’t sell, hoping someone might find a true gem among it. I’d be thrilled if someone discovered something special and paid just 50 cents, a small blessing. But instead? Instead, they want to charge a stunning 300% markup on what I gave away freely, as if my kindness isn’t enough—that they have to profit from my generosity, from the things I wanted to give away without any expectation. It’s honestly heartbreaking—disheartening—and it stings like nothing else.
It’s time to say enough. Go elsewhere. Demand change. Don’t let this abuse continue in silence—stand up against their greed and force the industry...
Read moreHad been a customer of this shop for 2-3 years, but they lost my business yesterday. Normally I only go to trade in some cards to buy other singles. Usually they will upcharge around 10% of market price, which I never minded too much as such upcharges are understandable. But yesterday after trading some cards in for store credit I chose a lot of 30-40 low priced cards, and at checkout they were pricing most of them at 300-400% market price, and as little as 200%. I chose to not complain and just take the cards I had traded in back to leave, but the owner followed me onto the parking lot and asked me back, telling me they were going to take care of me basically. Saying they were charging that much because a lot of people had been coming in to pick up those cards to grade. When going back in, the owner instructed the cashier to take care of me, and at repricing the cards, they did lower the price from 300-400% to 200-250%. I only took about 4 of the cards I had chosen to use up the credit I had traded in for and left, and will not be coming back. Although I enjoyed my time going, those are business practices I cannot support
edit: JR, I don't know where you are getting that information from, those are 100% lies, of the 40 cards i grabbed not a single one would have graded a 10, and your employee knows as a fact I did not look through for centering or condition, because I took less than a minute to pick all the 40 cards from the first stack of cards I was given. And all of them had issues with whitening since you had them on a stack with no sleeves or any protection. Not a SINGLE one would have graded a 10, additionally why not grade it yourself for the upcharge?
Also I never told Travis It was none of my business if I graded the cards or what i did, so I wonder where that even comes from? The only thing I said is I am not one to fight pricing and ask for lower, I just took my cards and left, only came back because Travis said they would take care of me. I literally grabbed the least desirable cards of the IR rarity. Of the 40 cards I chose, only about 5 of them would be really considered desirable, and go up that much with grading. The others were mostly...
Read moreNot sure where to start, this shop is very active and has tons of single cards which is great so I really held off multiple times on writing this review but today was it for me. My roommate and I originally came across them because we ordered a booster box off TCGPlayer and realized their shop was nearby. We called and asked if we could pick it up in person because we’re close and they let us which was really nice, over the phone they also said that next time if we buy from them directly they’ll usually offer better prices than on TCGPlayer, (this is because TCGPlayer charges shops between 10-30% in fees) but lol that was a lie. We came back multiple times and whenever we’d ask for prices the cards were way overpriced, some only by a few dollars but there were some that were double the price. When I asked about what they previously told me they said that no one ever said that and it’s not store policy. Another time I asked about how much they buy cards for in cash if I wanted to sell some cards, they told me it ranges between 50-60% when I arrived they said it’s always 50%, okay no problem. The problem here, is when I went to sell my collection, I went on TCGPlayer, used the lowest prices I could find, did the math, and at the absolute lowest they should have offered me about $1,000… they offered me $800 (which sounds a lot but the total price while adding only the lowest prices for each card I could find before the 50% was about $2,200)
Now today was the banger. I asked the price on a card that online from TCGPlayer, English, Near Mint including shipping is $7.25….. they told me the card is $15 and then proceeded to not only ask me to leave a 5 star review but also ask if its the first time I’ve been there as if I haven’t talked to the same guy at least 12+ times now.
TLDR: They think you’re an idiot that doesn’t know market prices, just buy your cards from TCGPlayer and save yourself lots of money...
