Walgreens — Local services in Davie

If you're in a rush or have little spare time, NEVER USE THIS WALGREENS. Specifically the pharmacy!!! I'm literally stuck in the parking lot , for what is now over an hour, bc I'm waiting for their pharmacy to fill my mother's cocktail of 20 years. It's been the exact same thing for these 20 years & we've used various Walgreens on & off. We figured it'd be easier to refill them while visiting for a doctor's appointment since we moved to Central Florida, & she needed her refill asap. Not only did they not call her immediately regarding concerns. They only made them apparently when we physically showed up to pick them up, only for the pharmacy to accuse my disabled mother, of "pharmacy shopping" I have never been so insulted in my life. Then when I go in & tell the pharmacist, we don't need counseling bc she's been on the cocktail sooo long. She snapped & told me that she's "just doing her job & required by law to counsel for these drugs" I would've backed down but then she continued by saying "I'm just here to help, I'm not keeping you from anything" when she was infact doing so by making us physically wait an entire hour for a cocktail. I got angry so I left & let my mom wait for the meds. She then lectured my mom about how we "should refill them at home" completely disregarding my mothers earlier complaint that even when we refill them at home she has to wait days, sometimes a week because various Walgreens in centeral Florida dont have enough meds. Thanks to this fiasco, I won't be home til after dark bc of the constant waiting, miscommunication & outright insulting my disabled mother. At this point, IDC what your policy is. I recently was in this store twice in the late night hours because i ship boxes over night at Fed ex for my internet business. I have a certain look tattooed shaved head etc so i go over the top to be a gentlemen. I really try to not be a stereotype. First visit i was followed the whole time and i caught someone spying on me when I'm turned around, i told the guy I'm only buying tape , i am not stealing. He was ok w it. We laughed . All good. Next visit. I'm up front 2am and i made Sharon w the cashier laugh, because i made a joke about the huge old guy(white) that works there following me w dirty looks. I thought maybe it's in my mind. Then i try to leave and the POS literally blocked the exit to stare me down w a dirty look. I promise good as my witness that when my huge attempts to be a good man are ignored and i am pushed these fools like the worker testing me don't realize how close they come to tragedy. Some men don't have bosses. They are childless entities free of a women's control. The last cowboys left. I could easily have shown this old man how far past his expiration date he is. Becareful who you look at w evil. It could be the quiet guy just trying to live in the positive. Sometimes the wildest people are reformed and these men that tempt there evil w ego flexing could be signing there own death warrant if the reformed man chooses to make a point. I like this location, but had a terrible experience recently with the pharmacy. I left a prescription to be filled. After a couple of days I hadn't heard from the pharmacy that the prescription was ready for pickup so I checked the status in my account online. I read that it was not being filled. I called the pharmacy and asked them to fill the prescription.

A few days later, I checked my account for the status. Again the prescription was not being filled. I called the pharmacy again and asked why the prescription was not being filled. I was told it was $200 without insurance. I replied to the associate to put through the prescription. (I have insurance and it's on file with them.)

Days later I get a call from my doctor's office that the pharmacy called them saying the prescription was expensive. I was livid!!! Why would someone in the pharmacy call my doctor to let him know his prescription was expensive??? I called the pharmacy, very upset, asking why someone called my doctor. It is my responsibility as his patient to speak with him about the prescription if I had a problem with the cost. The pharmacy was out of line for calling my doctor. I explained to the associate that I already told the pharmacy twice to fill the prescription and asked again for it to be filled, that the price does not matter.
