I'm quite surprised by the positive feedback for this jeweler. This experience happened to me a few months ago but I am in search of a new jeweler and see only positive feedback here and feel that people should know that not all stories with this jeweler end well.
A few days after my fiancee proposed, we came in to find out my proper ring size because the ring was too big (my fiancee had ordered the ring from an out of town location). We had planned on getting the size of my finger and shipping the ring back to the original company he purchased the ring from. The guy there insistently persuaded us to have the ring resized there, and when we asked if that's okay to do (voiding warranties, etc.) he stated that it should not matter. He assured us that the guy who resized it is amazing at what he does and that he tightened all the accent diamonds and that we were good to go.
We made the absolute worst decision and had the ring resized and left. I noticed right after, that the back part of the ring-the palm side of your hand was not symmetrical anymore as well as another part that looked like it had been squished but I was excited that the ring finally fit so I didn't think to concern myself with that.
What made our first experience here even worse than the fact that the integrity of my ring was damaged was the man's reaction to my ring. I love my ring and it is absolutely perfect to me. We had the papers stating that my ring is a D color but he consistently stated how my ring should "pop" more. I believe I will trust the GIA and my own love for this ring to say that I don't appreciate being told that it isn't good enough to be a D. I left with a tainted view of my ring and on top of that, it wasn't even perfectly symmetrical anymore.
To make matters worse, two weeks after this resizing incident, an accent diamond fell out. I went back in to have it repaired, and he stated that it is not his problem and we can get it fixed by the company we originally got the ring from. Considering that the ring had been resized just two weeks prior, it was directly related to the prongs not being tightened enough.
Upon shipping it back to the original company, we learned that the ring was not even properly soldered back together, there was a small crack where it was connected back together that eventually could cause the ring to break. We had to pay additional money to get a new accent diamond placed and have the ring properly resized.
I had a gut feeling when we first walked into this establishment that we shouldn't use their services and this terrible decision proved itself to be one of the worst mistakes I have ever made. Save yourself headache and heartache and find a jeweler who cares about you and...
Read moreHorrible customer service! If you’re going to have your own business you should never taken any business transaction personal and rip anyone’s credit card out of their hands because they want to return something. They lost a customer because of their lack of respect and work ethic. Just because someone wants to return an item it doesn’t mean that they won’t return so you should always treat a customer with respect! I was completely disgusted by how I was treated and ripped off! None of what I bought was worth the amount I had paid. If you’re reading this review..... save yourself and do not give them business. Go somewhere else where you’ll be treated with respect and provide you with good...
