Gabe's — Local services in Daytona Beach

What a huge disappointment! I was excited to find a Gabe's right here in Florida. I first discovered Gabe's in North Carolina. There was so much to love about the store. It was clean, well stocked and there were a ton of cute clothes and shoes. This location was filthy the bathroom especially! A strong urine odor as soon as I walked in. The toilet seats were disgusting and covered in dry urine. The floor was sticky like it has never been cleaned before. Walking around the store a lot of shelves had built up dust and the quality of the clothes/shoes were awful. In the juniors department I noticed most of the clothes were thin as if they'd rip after one wash. The jeans were like paper and had a strong smell of chemicals. The children's toys had dust on the outside of the box. And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse as I exited the store disappointed, a woman dressed in a short skirt that revealed her butt cheeks with a top only covering her breasts and high heels was looking through my car window. She quickly walked off after noticing me approaching. I witnessed other people who looked like drug addicts searching around people's vehicles looking...

VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Went on opening weekend and they have changed so much. The store clerks original stated before the change it would be more of an in between of Ross and TJ Max but still keeping a lot of the house hold stuff. On the 9th of Feb i went to look for end tables. They had 5 maybe. No more high counter chairs, no more patio furniture. GONE! I purchased 2 small things and when I went to the checkout, I informed the cashier how DISAPPOINTED I was. She said I wasn't the first and that a majority of the people who had come to shop were. Gabes is 70% clothing now. Even the clerks were suprised and how the company completely got rid of what Old Time Pottery was and why people went there. Will never go back, waste of my time. While shopping at Gabe’s, my friends and I experienced unfair treatment from a store employee. A woman repeatedly followed us throughout the store, watching us closely and making us feel uncomfortable. Despite our respectful behavior and genuine intention to shop, she continued to monitor us unnecessarily. Eventually, without any valid reason, she asked us to leave the store. This treatment felt unfair and discriminatory, as we were not causing any disturbances or breaking any rules.
