My Granddaughters and I went to the Daytona Beach location yesterday 2/23/25, as we have done many times since this restaurant opened it doors in Daytona Beach. Our favorite waitress were not working unfortunately. My ticket number was 5259 12.06pm, the Server #70057 - Name Gwenyth. Let's just start this Review out as a Negative on the Waitress and a Positive on the food. This girl should be fired. I'm not one to say that often but she was beyond RUDE. This is a Great Breakfast restaurant please spare yourself and tell them to PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ME Gwenyth as my Server. Rude (ATTITUDE from the jump) when she first came to the table. Did not introduce herself. Made comments about my 11 month old granddaughter making a mess at the table. Made another comment to the Hostess while standing across from our booth, that if we didn't leave her a tip she was going to scream! We heard her say this. Continue to make statements about our messy table, etc. Then she presents the bill $94.02 and she looks over my shoulder & see's that I have put a "0" in for the tip, she about lost her mind. Mind you we were going to leave her a cash tip! But she totally change my mind on that at this time, now it gets better... As I was speaking to her trainer/asst mgr, she came over so she could hear what I was saying (back to rudness on her part). LIke I said I take my family to this establishment often. As we were walking out of the restaurant she continued Out Loud for the entire restaurant to hear about how good of a server she was and that we did not tip her. I could go on but will not... Do yourself a favor and let them know you are not interested in Gwenyth...
Read moreI wasn’t going to review this because I wanted to keep it a secret .. seriously the food is so good, it’s homemade food. Like if you didn’t feel like cooking. Being from the northeast I know a little bit about diners, I waitressed in 2/3 for over 20vyrs. This place reminds me so much of the family owned diners of my glorious days of a misspent youth. The portions are good size, but more than that the food is just really good. What prompted me to write this review was the fact that it literally cost me less than when I ordered McDonald’s . That’s 100% fact- I used doordash for this particular order and when I saw the total I couldn’t believe my eyes. Plus… I’m so sick and tired of these cookie cutter corporate “restaurants “ where the food is terrible, service matches the food, and the price tag is astronomical. I do not want to spend 100$ to eat at a place named after a car company! What does Ford know about food, and why? If you want a home cooked meal, made with real ingredients, cooked by ppl who know how to cook- not peel off plastic wrap and put in a microwave, with the benefit of being affordable, please try metro. I promise you will not regret it. My daughter just said , I have never ordered something I didn’t like, and she has no idea I’m writing this. Go To Metro Diner! There,...
Read moreMUST TRY!!!! So, I was in town for the Daytona Turkey Run with my crew. Decided to go out to dinner Saturday night, tried three restaurants and everywhere we had a 45 minute wait. Then I saw a sign that said Metro Dinner. So, we go… as soon as we entered we were greeted with polite and respectful staff. We had one of the BEST servers in my life “Jamie”. We are in the food service business and I was very impressed with Jamie knowledge of everything and I mean everything on the menu. She made great recommendations for us and the best this is that she made us feel like family. My complements to the kitchen. Everything that we ordered was fantastic. Great flavor and the portions we huge. If you go away hungry then it’s your own fault! I happen to mention to Jamie how my dish was amazing but after trying a little piece of my friends Pumpkin Waffle (a must have - a little piece of heaven) I should have gotten that dish… she went out of her way and brought a Pumpkin Waffle to me. Great place, clean and AMAZING staff and DELICIOUS food! I give it a 10/10 (and I never give that kind of rating lightly). Thank you, to Jamie and the entire team at Metro Diner. I will definitely...
