I really hope district managers see this review! The majority of your staff is extremely racist. Only the new person working at the florist shop is very kind and was answering all my questions. However, your staff at the second building on the corner of Ford & Outer Drive was horrible. It was 5:40 PM (20 minutes before closing time), and there was a customer inside the building, however your staff ran to the door as I'm approaching to get in, he locked the door and ran back in!! I went around to a second set of doors, I walked in to ask a question regarding a specific hanging basket and wanted to make a purchase, that same team member looked at me and turned his face away and he stood there pretending I'm invisible! LOL, why work there if you don't like to talk to customers! I left him alone and proceeded to another team member who was already helping a customer, I waited till he finished and asked him for a 10-inch pot. He said that they don't have any plastic ones. I said it doesn't have to be plastic, any 10 inch decorative pot will do. He said that they don't have any that would match the one used for the hanging basket in my cart! I said: it doesn't have to match, and any will do. He said they don't have any! I requested him to point me in the direction where all the pots are. He did. I found tons of pots, all shapes, colors, and sizes. I am still in shock as to why they would act like this??? They both made me feel so uncomfortable and very unwelcomed. I was so sad! However, as I mentioned, the team member at the florist building was very professional. I really hope some sort of professional training gets conducted at this place. They have a beautiful inventory of plants and flowers, and their prices are very reasonable. However, I will NOT go there again for a...
Read moreBought a succulent Saturday afternoon, as a lot of the succulents were dying that should have been my red flag on not buying one but I found one I thought looked healthy..the next morning I look fully into the succulent to find it completely full of fuzzy mold. Another factor, they tried overpricing our items, maybe a mistake but now that I have an issue to explain, I might as well put that detail in there as well as others need to make sure the price tag and what’s rang up is the same. Anyways on to my succulent. I went back the very moment I seen this mold. Went in, front desk lady couldn’t do return so she called a manager. It took over 20 minutes for them to tell me they couldn’t return it due to it being a “yellow sticker”. Me never going into that store besides yesterday, I have no clue what that means and was not explained at checkout that it was NOT refundable or maybe I would have looked further into detail on this plant. So wasted over $17 and the time I took to look for one Saturday and also my 20 minutes of waiting for someone to tell me they couldn’t help anyway. Horrible customer service. As the return policy needs to be explained as the plant was not a sale/clearance item. So how would one ever think it was a non returnable item?! I’m very disappointed in this experience. I wanted to do something nice for myself that I don’t do often. Lost time and money.
Again other customers here please watch the prices being scanned!! My total came to about $64 until my husband said hey wait a minute that’s not right and went down about $10. $10...
Read moreIf you are a houseplant collector, then this place is NOT for you. While yes, they have a decent variety of houseplants, they also have spidermites on everything, always. I have been to this English gardens probably 3-4 times in the past 4 years. My 1st time going I bought a huge pot of adansonii and a few peperomia plants. After 2 weeks I discover that the adansonii was completely infested with spidermites, I tried for a few weeks to treat it but you know how that goes. I ended up having to toss it out and that was a waste of $60. I thought maybe the infestation was a fluke so went back a few times after that. I take my phone out and use my flashlight to look for webbing before I purchase anything from them. My last time there was a couple of weeks ago, I used my flashlight and there was mites and webbing on 90% of the plants I wanted to purchase. I ended up walking out with 2 small plants and discovered a few days later after getting them home, that sure enough, 1 of them has spidermites. It is now sitting in the back room waiting for spring to be planted outside. I was looking forward to keeping this philodendron as a houseplant but with over 250 other houseplants, I can't take the risk of them spreading everywhere. I will never, ever shop here again. It's like throwing your money in the garbage, and they are super overpriced so it's not a small...
