BUYER BEWARE!!! This Target location has a "DIFFERENT STORE RETURN POLICY '' Different meaning: let's take advantage of consumers in a lower socioeconomic demographic that are primarily a minority. I came into this location in Dearborn today to return a vacuum I purchased. The item was sold to me used and missing shampoo. I was well within the amount of days I needed to come back and EXCHANGE my item. I was told at the return counter if I wanted to exchange the exact item I had to pay an additional $100+ since the price had changed. They did not ask why I needed to return it, just that I had to pay the difference. I quieitly left and I decided to call Target Corporate, the Allan Park store and the Dearborn Heights store. All said I could EXCHANGE my item at the same price I purchased it since I was well with the return date. I was also told ALL stores have the same return policy. So why is Dearborn different? I kindly called the Dearborn store to let the manager know that the customer service reps were misinformed about the policy. Instead a sales associate answered pretending to be the manager and was reminded that the store has a "DIFFERENT STORE RETURN POLICY" Again different meaning: a racially profiled store policy!!! I can't imagine how many consumers they have ripped off with this bogus policy? I went to Dearborn Heights, not one issue, just asked me why. I exchanged my item and I was out...
Read moreDrive Up order service is poor. After waiting the full two hours for my order to be fulfilled I noticed several items marked as out of stock, many in the same category. I thought this was questionable so I decided to go inside the store to see if the items actually were in stock (having worked at Target I know that when an item in a pickup order is marked as out of stock it just means that the employee wasn’t able to find the item, so they marked it as Item Not Found/INF). Sure enough, I was able to find one of the items that was marked as out of stock in my order on the floor, in plain view, in its correct location, so there was no excuse to mark this item as INF. Additionally, after picking up my order and driving all the way home I realized that a pair of shoes was missing from my order but they had been marked as included in the order and I had been charged for them. Will not be returning to this location and will be visiting the Allen Park location instead. Drive Up service should not be offered if a store is not adequately staffed/trained to handle...
Read moreFirst off the store was a complete mess items where not placed properly on shelves. They had staff stocking shelves in narrow isles and made it impossible to go down. I got all my items and when I went to cash out they had zero cashiers and you had to use self checkout. Upon scanning my items I was told by the lady who was supervising the process that one of my items she was sure had been discontinued as she had issues with it on Saturday (this was a Monday). She then took the item and spoke with a manager which took almost 10 minutes to decide what to do. I bought a video game and needed to get to take it out of the security box. She asked to see my receipt to which I showed her. She then said I didn’t pay for the item which I knew I had and said I was trying to shoplift. As she went to report it to her store manager I found the item was the first thing in the receipt. Clearly she didn’t take the care to make sure that her accusations were true before accusing me of a crime. Won’t ever be going back to that location again not sure if I’ll go back to any...
